What is looking like an Inspection is in reality a search for Tiny Teddy in this Harley Shock Absorber. The two bears were on a walk through the neighborhood where they found this interesting "Spring" on a Harley motorbike. Curious Tiny Teddy was too tiny for this spring and fell through. HONDA came home crying and telling me what had happened. Fortunately we could get TINY out without any injuries.
And now the tiny little Trouble Maker got grounded for the rest of this week !

View of the New Jerusalem Monastery from the wall.
The New Jerusalem Monastery is one of the most famous and revered monasteries of the central part of Russia, the main feature of which is that the Resurrection Cathedral located here was built in the image and likeness of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher on Calvary in Jerusalem, although the outer monasteries are completely different from each other.
In the Resurrection Cathedral, as in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem, there are three main shrines of Christians:
Golgotha is a small rock where Christ was crucified (in Greek the word "Golgotha" means a frontal place)
Cuvuclia - a small chapel with the Holy Sepulcher, the burial place of Christ
Temple of the Resurrection of the Savior, the place of the life-giving resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Golgotha, the place of the crucifixion of Christ, is located on the second tier of the temple; a staircase to the right of the main entrance leads to it. In a small room, a cross was installed, made in Jerusalem and the same size as the Jerusalem Cross of God. Also here is a stone with a crack imitating a rock that broke at the time of the Savior’s death, when the blood of Christ was shed on it.
On the west side, a rotunda was attached to the temple with a huge two-tier dome, in the center of which was built a cavern, that is, a chapel with the Holy Sepulcher. Here is a bed on which the body of Christ was placed in a cave on the side of Mount Calvary.
In the temple next to the entrance is the Stone of Anointing, to which the Savior’s body was transferred, when it was removed from the cross, here he was anointed with peace (fragrant oil) and prepared for burial.
In the New Jerusalem Monastery, as in Jerusalem, the entrance to the temple is located on the south side. In the eastern part is the underground church of Saints Constantine and Helena, located at a depth of six meters. The legend has been preserved that it was at such a depth that Queen Helen found the Life-giving Cross. The Israeli temple of Constantine and Helen carved into the rock.

AUTUMN LEAVES - Eva Cassidy & the London Symphony Orchestra
Now that Summer takes it's leave
and dragonflies fly off to places where I've never been
all that remains are faded remnants; leaves and weaves
of the empty spaces held fast between my dreams
The Autumn air smells cool and sweet
with rotten windfall apples and fruit
fly-blown and maggoty at my feet
intoxicating the air; stuck with prickly thistly hirsute
My eyes are drawn to narrow slits
peering between my lashes
the sentinels of pegs are pits
burned and coal-like; ombred ashes
The golden orb web spider's lacework
is spun and hanging out to dry
warm September sun a simmering perk
of the shimmering dream catcher that caught my eye
Sombre hues and orbs of light
fill the air with tangible tones
feelings are high; moods delight
a poet's dream felt deep in bones
Tread gently on the fallen leaves
make your footprint light
enrich the Earth will all it needs
go with the flow; embrace the endless night
For after Autumn, Winter follows
and the land falls asleep and hibernates
but Spring will come; fill up the hollows
and Summer will come to warm terracotta slates
The stillness of the evening; the peace and quiet
the quickening mood when Summer visitors flee
is felt very deeply in the fading riot
of flowers beneath the weeping willow tree
I shed not a tear at Summer's end
for every time comes and goes with reason
and I am a chameleon that twists and bends
and acclimatises to every season.

M20 (often referred to as "Trifid nebula") is a collection of three different nebulae in the Sagittarius constellation, around 9000 light years from earth.
Not only is this a collection of three different nebulae; it’s also three completely different types:
- Dark nebula: this part consists of dark dust clouds that absorb/block any light from stars behind it. You can see this as the black lines in the center of the image.
- Emission nebula: this part consists of clouds of hydrogen that get ionized (think of it as getting energized and glowing) due to the presence of nearby stars. You can see it as the red'ish part of the image.
- Reflection nebula: this part consists of clouds of interstellar dust, which reflect the light of nearby stars. You can see this as the blue part of the image.

A Crazed Girl
by William Butler Yeats
THAT crazed girl improvising her music.
Her poetry, dancing upon the shore,
Her soul in division from itself
Climbing, falling She knew not where,
Hiding amid the cargo of a steamship,
Her knee-cap broken, that girl I declare
A beautiful lofty thing, or a thing
Heroically lost, heroically found.
No matter what disaster occurred
She stood in desperate music wound,
Wound, wound, and she made in her triumph
Where the bales and the baskets lay
No common intelligible sound
But sang, "O sea-starved, hungry sea.'

We've had fresh snow each morning for the past several days. Walking in the woods is even more delightful than usual; the snow absorbs sounds and makes conditions meditatively beautiful.
This is from yesterday's morning hike.
The Gardens by the Bay is a nature park spanning 101 hectares in the Central Region of Singapore, adjacent to the Marina Reservoir. The park consists of three waterfront gardens: Bay South Garden (in Marina South), Bay East Garden (in Marina East) and Bay Central Garden (in Downtown Core and Kallang). The largest of the gardens is the Bay South Garden at 54 hectares designed by Grant Associates. Its Flower Dome is the largest glass greenhouse in the world. Being one of the popular tourist attractions in Singapore, the park received 6.4 million visitors in 2014, while topping its 20 millionth visitor mark in November 2015 and over 50 million in 2018.
Supertrees are the 18 tree-like structures that dominate the Gardens' landscape with heights that range between 25 metres and 50 metres. They were conceived and designed by Grant Associates, with the imaginative engineering of Atelier One and Atelier Ten. They are vertical gardens that perform a multitude of functions, which include planting, shading and working as environmental engines for the gardens. The Supertrees are home to enclaves of unique and exotic ferns, vines, orchids and also a vast collection of bromeliads such as Tillandsia, amongst other plants. They are fitted with environmental technologies that mimic the ecological function of trees: photovoltaic cells that harness solar energy which can be used for some of the functions of the Supertrees (such as lighting), similar to how trees photosynthesize, and collection of rainwater for use in irrigation and fountain displays, similar to how trees absorb rainwater for growth. The Supertrees also serve air intake and exhaust functions as part of the conservatories' cooling systems. There is an elevated walkway, the OCBC Skyway, between two of the larger Supertrees for visitors to enjoy a panoramic aerial view of the Gardens. Every night, at 7:45pm and 8:45pm, the Supertree Grove comes alive with a coordinated light and music show known as the Garden Rhapsody. The accompanying music to the show changes every month or so, with certain themes such as A World of Wonder and A Night of Musical Theatre, which features excerpts/pieces from films like Jurassic Park and Pirates of the Caribbean. 31761
Glastonbury Tor is a hill at Glastonbury in the English county of Somerset, topped by the roofless St Michael's Tower, a Grade I listed building. The whole site is managed by the National Trust, and has been designated a scheduled monument.
The conical hill of clay and Blue Lias rises from the Somerset Levels. It was formed when surrounding softer deposits were eroded, leaving the hard cap of sandstone exposed. The slopes of the hill are terraced, but the method by which they were formed remains unexplained. Artefacts from human visitation have been found, dating from the Iron Age to Roman eras.
The North America Nebula (NGC 7000) is an emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus, close to Deneb. The nebula was discovered by William Herschel in 1786 and its shape is vaguely visible under dark, transparent skies with the help of a nebula filter. However, the distinctive reddish color, due to hydrogen atoms emission and its prominent shape show up in photographs of the area, which is incredibly rich in hydrogen-alpha emission nebulosity (the nebulosity visible at lower left is part of the adjacent Pelican Nebula, IC 5070).
Interstellar dust between the nebula and the Earth absorbs some of the light of the nebula and is therefore responsible for the shape of the nebula that resembles that of North America. Images from Spitzer Space Telescope in the infrared have revealed that young, massive stars are hidden behind the dark dust clouds that form the "Gulf of Mexico" area and might be responsible for the radiation that excites the hydrogen atoms and makes the nebula to glow.
The distance to the nebula is estimated to be about 1800 light years and its diameter about 100 light years.

I am sure this is something that happens to other people, not just me. You see something and immediately a song pops up in your mind. I was wandering in the streets of Chora in Serifos and as I took a turn and walked in this alley I felt a strong wind gust from behind. The closed windows of the 2 houses started creaking and I instantly remembered the lyrics of this Greek old song where the singer says that he feels like the wind passing through the city's streets making the closed windows creak . It was so quiet and so peaceful on that mid September evening in Chora. Its streets were empty and the sound of the windows didn't bother me at all. I stayed there to enjoy that moment and absorb everything through my eyes and ears. White walls, colorful windows, the sound of creaking and a nice and refreshing breeze. Perfection. Happy Window Wednesday everybody.

And here are the lyrics in English:
As I walk out of your door
I will see the round sun
wearing your beautiful last smile
I will wish you good morning
then I will leave, I will be lost
and maybe you will only see me again in your dreams
Because I am the air that passes
in the city's alleys
and makes the closed windows creak
Because I am an evening aura
I am a breath clean and alive
which makes the tilted window shutters rustle
I am leaving to go high on the mountain
and then I will fall off the cliff
as I sway in the depths and the heights
And in silence I carry
an unruly cry
and some unspeakable hope that you have hidden
An example I often use to illustrate the reality of vanity, is this: look at the peacock; it's beautiful if you look at it from the front. But if you look at it from behind, you discover the truth... Whoever gives in to such self-absorbed vanity has huge misery hiding inside them.

Image captured inside the Azkuna Center (Azkuna Zentroa) formerly "Alhóndiga Bilbao" was originally an old wine warehouse located in the town of Bilbao (Vizcaya, Spain). Since 2010 rehabilitated and converted into the city's leisure and culture center. This original modernist style building by the architect Ricardo Bastille and built between 1905 and 1909, this architecture is one of the first examples of public architecture in reinforced concrete.
In 1919 it suffered a fire and subsequent restoration. Closed for a long time, in the 1980s its adaptation as a cultural center was considered with the participation of Jorge Oteiza. This project was frustrated and shortly after an alternative one emerged in Bilbao, the Guggenheim Museum project, which led to Oteiza's criticism and a controversy that only died down due to the unusual success of the new museum.
Finally, the Alhóndiga was reformed as a multipurpose civic center, with the intervention of designer Philippe Starck, and was inaugurated on May 18, 2010.
The interior presents a diaphanous configuration in which the attractiveness of the possibility of experiencing the totality of the space corresponding to a block of the Ensanche de Bilbao is combined with the geometric rigor of the structure, this provides remarkable perceptions of the space modulated by it. .
My photograph shows a corner of that enormous space, softly lit inside in contrast to the natural light that enters through its open spaces to the outside.

AMSTERDAM - Light Festival 2018 - Three figures sit next to each other on a bench, displaying the typical characteristics of smartphone users: their heads are bent, fingers typing and swiping, and their faces lit up by their phone screens. While their bodies are physically present, their minds are elsewhere.
You can experience the way this effects others by taking a seat in between the figures of 'Absorbed by Light', designed by the British Gali May Lucas and executed by Berlin-based sculptor Karoline Hinz.
