I've seen Kelvin-Helmholtz effect at the top of temperature inversions before but was nice to get a more photogenic combo with the Ben Ledi cross and the rising moon.

Shot for Macro Mondays "Oscar Wilde quotes" theme.
"The typewriting machine, when played with expression, is no more annoying than the piano when played by a sister or near relation. "
Is what I love from (my horse) Nikita's back! My mind is clear, free of all confusion, suddenly the light becomes sharper, sounds become richer, and I am filled with the deep powerful presence of life....the residue of God. Taken with my IPhone 4
the class superlative for this trip is "most consecutive days awoken at dawn". we saw many a sunrise, including this one over mount bromo poking through the clouds. the view is from the peak of nearby mount penanjakan in tengger semeru national park in east java. we later descended below the clouds to cross the sea of sand and ascend to the crater mouth of the sulfur-smoke belching mount bromo. the air was particularly thick that day with the gag-inducing throat-stinging smoke and dust and after a point visibility was at absolute zero, so we didn't make it all the way up.

Twilight went on a sleep-over with a potential adopter, but after 8 days would still not settle, so, I brought her back to my house, where she immediately made herself at home again. Her sister, Midnight, is still with the potential adopter, and despite my reluctance to separate them, this really is working out well, as I’ve decided to keep Twilight. After a “rocky” reception from Mr. Eliot (my male cat) when Twilight returned, they are now best friends and he has started to groom her again. At six months old, she is the gentlest kitten I've ever rescued/fostered/owned. 💛
Another shot of The Absolute towers (aka The Marilyn Monroe Towers) in Mississauga.
This is a black and white, long exposure shot that was processed using Silver efex pro 2. If you've never used this plug-in, it's one of the best black and white plug-in out. It really does wonders punching up those blacks and tweaking high contrast areas.
Plus, now that the Nik suite is free, you have no excuse not to try it out.
Thank you for viewing my Photostream.

The day has finally arrived and the final Triple Crown RoadRailer out of Kansas City is making its trip east to Detroit. With the absolute final RoadRailer leaving Detroit bound for Kansas City tomorrow, bogie-mounted RoadRailer equipment will become history after this weekend. The Nickel Plate heritage locomotive was secured in Kansas City for this momentous occasion, keeping alive the tradition of "Nickel Plate High Speed Service" as it led all the way from KC to Detroit.
Here, NS train 256 blasts through Alexander on the NS Springfield-Hannibal District along Old Route 36, headed for a crew change at Decatur. This train will be replaced by the new NS train 252 to Toledo, OH, with former green EMP 53's boxes on stacks and piggyback's replacing the iconic RoadRailer's. 8/24/24
No matter how many times I visit the redwood forests, I cannot contain my wonder of these ancient trees.
Some of you may noticed that I'm offline for too long... I don't really have the time to stay, nor I have a working hardware to be here...
Due to power outages, my psu died two months ago, as well as the both TVs. Just imagine two months without TV and and without PC....
Bought a new psu today, as well as the new gpu, plugged in everything, all fans are spinning, pc powers up, but I'm getting no display.
Tried every single solution to fix it, but still not working... it just stays powered on for like 20 sec and just turn off itself...
So to make things even worse, I don't even have the time now to take my pc to the technicians where I bought the parts. As I work from 7am to 7pm, every single day, including Sunday.. and their shop is open from 8am to 5pm.
Today I took a day off to finally fix this... but I highly doubt that my boss will give me another day off for this... so I'll be waiting for Holidays.
Oh btw I'm fine, a little bit pissed off because of everything... but still fine.
Hope you are all doing well, and I hope to see you all again, soon. If I don't manage to fix this before Holidays, wishing to everyone all the best, to you and to yours ;)
Regards & much love

Be Like A Lotus
These portraits of plants, have been made for many different reasons but always for the JOY of it. All of my photographs are daytime, made in city parks and gardens and virtually straight out of the camera with the absolute minimum of post processing.
This on going photographic odyssey, that I call TERRA INCOGNITA, has helped me notice what is always present in my life if I can make the time to look.
This is the third cherrybloom picture.
For some odd reason, I took 54 more.
I will try to behave and keep myself from uploading them all.
The equivalent pictures last year was taken on May 5, so the trees do bloom early this year.
