One shot is more than enough for one glass. At 72 percent ABV plus the wormwood, it damn well should be. (Not that one shouldn't have multiple servings, of course.)
The best label of the festival, hands down, and a very nice absinthe at that. The distiller's father was there as well-- he spent a little time in jail during the ban period after getting busted making absinthe (if I understood his French correctly...).

The Absinthe is poured in the glass. A slotted spoon is placed on top. A suger cube is covered with absinte. It is light on fire. The place under the spout of a big bowl of ice water and the water drips on the sugar cube and drips into the glass causing a cloudy mixture and that's when it's ready to drink. All the artists on Montmarte drank it. So, of course I had to!
It does look like the green fairy, doesn't it? But alas, they don't serve that in broad day light. This is a kiwi-flavored Italian soda (with cream).
