My first entry for an ABS challenge!

What started out as a bracelet became a long necklace... the roses are my own polymer creation, painted to match the color palette. I also used black onyx and Russian serpentine. I just love how the serpentine echos the squares of the trellis! I finished it off with suede cord tied in a knot.

Taken in 2012. On October 4, 2013, we said goodbye to my grandfather who passed away after battling Alzheimer's for the last few years. I'm so glad Abs will have this photo to remember him by.

The first month of the new year—a perfect time to get started on the monthly challenges again! I used my own polymer clay beads—the rustic speckle beads and the yellow orange flower drops, czech glass flowers, seed beads, and a brass bird charm.

The Americana Burlesque & Sideshow Festival. The Sideshow was performed outside the Orange Peel. Inside, there was no photography permitted, but outside was a photographer's dream, until the evening twilight ended. This colorful and photogenic beauty was one of my favorites, though I never caught her act.

My first time participating in an ABS challenge! This is a bracelet based on the colours and motifs I observed in Picasso's "Two Acrobats with a dog". The soft Kumihimo cord is woven by me with Marsha Neal's soft 2mm silk cord from www.etsy.com/shop/MarshaNealStudio The bracelet features two lampwork beads by Australian artist Faye of www.etsy.com/shop/feyglass. I needed a button so I created one in polymer clay. I was aiming for a grouted tile look in the harlequin pattern. I felt the bracelet needed a bit of pink in honour of Picasso's Rose Period so I used pink niobium jump rings! More pics on my blog:
