With many historic and vintage ships and vehicles, steam engines, fair and market, various types of demonstrations in the air and ofcourse on the water. Also, lots to do like short boattrips, visit the various musea, watch the naval parade and fireworks show late at night. With about 200.000 visitors in total a well attended event.

Thermes de Spa - in the 16th century, the commercialization of the thermal baths began and many spa guests came to Spa. The first bathing establishment was built in 1764 and the city became known as a health resort. A health resort (German: Kurort, English: spa) is a tourist resort that focuses on relaxation and recreation, but with a medical emotional value. A stay in a spa is considered beneficial for health due to medicinal springs, in this case the iron and carbonated water of the thermal baths of Spa, but also the healthy air. The traditional Christmas tree burning in Hellevoetsluis is always a very nice event. It starts with the Christmas tree hunt for the children to earn lottery tickets. The municipality as an organizer collects about 1000 Christmas trees that are burned as a large fire under the supervision of the fire brigade on the Zuidfront or Land van Paling. It attracts more and more visitors over the years, children win some nice prizes with the raffle tickets and the atmosphere is very nice. It is actually also the warm welcome of the year, especially with the glow of the fire of 1300 degrees Celsius.

The new station is made of steel, glass and white concrete. It includes a monumental arch, 160 metres (520 ft) long and 32 metres (105 ft) high. It has nine tracks and five platforms (three of 450 metres (1,480 ft) and two of 350 metres (1,150 ft)). All the tracks around the station have been modernised to allow high-speed arrival and departure. It includes a restaurant and expo facility. In design, an extra trip for those who love to catch some very nice architecture photos.

The first station was placed on May 1, 1842, after several renovations, such as for Expos and World Exhibitions, and eventually completely replaced due to the increase in traffic and the arrival of high-speed trains. The current futuristic Gare Liège-Guillemins railway station, designed by architect Santiago Calatrava, was opened on September 18, 2009 and used by 15,000 people every day.

The Vestingdagen (Fortress Days) in Hellevoetsluis, an annual multi-day event since 1979. Very popular and with lots of activities in and around the former naval base of the Netherlands. With many historic and vintage ships and vehicles, steam engines, fair and market, various types of demonstrations in the air and ofcourse on the water. Also, lots to do like short boattrips, visit the various musea, watch the naval parade and fireworks show late at night. With about 200.000 visitors in total a well attended event.

Rhubarb (Rheum rhabarbarum) - a plant of the knotweed family. The plant is grown for its edible parts. Rhubarb has been in the public eye for more than 5,000 years, but initially only as a medicinal product. The Chinese were the first to cultivate this crop. A strong purgative was and still is extracted from the root. The stems contain the substance parietin, a substance that inhibits tumor growth in high concentrations in cell cultures, but unfortunately not yet in humans.
