This is a photo of Avignon, France taken from the Palais de Pape. Our two spiritual children live in Avignon.
this guy was everywhere in Avignon,...and later on our journey through France, we`ve seen him in other citys too, such like Paris and on the Atlantic Ocean near Bordeaux
Following the final destruction of the Pont Saint-Bénézet (Pont d'Avignon) as a usable bridge, the Rhône crossing at Avignon was by ferry. A wood bridge was built during 1812, collapsed partially during 1821, and was replaced by a suspension bridge (between Avignon and Île de la Barthelasse) in 1843. This in turn was replaced by a hybrid suspension and cable-stayed bridge in 1888, which survived until replaced by the current Pont Édouard Daladier (1972).
