Avignon tramcar 112 at the Porte de la République, which stands north of Avignon-Centre station.
Each Avignon tramcar is named for an artistic personality associated with the city. This car is named for the painter and engraver Nicolas Mignard (known as Mignard d'Avignon, 1606-1668), who settled in Avignon.

As described previously, Avignon has the newest tramway system in all of France (at 2021 August). This extends 5.2 km (3.2 mi) between Saint-Roch, Gare Centre and Saint-Chamand, and was opened on 2019 October 19.
According to current (2021 August) plans, Saint-Roch terminal (shown here) will be served by Line T2 from 2025, and Line T1 will be routed to a new terminal, at Horloge - Hôtel de Ville within the city walls.
