Space Invader Avignon sur la place de la cour du Palais des Papes. Il y a 4 marches avec un arbre à coté. Il suffit de s'asseoir et de regarder droit devant soi. Avec une part de pizza dans la bouche j'ai réussi à trouver ;)

The mighty walls of the Avignon city castle. This cream-colored "Palais des Papes" was the refuge of Popes in the 14th century. In the background the Avignon cathedral can be seen.
The front seen here is awesomely handsome in a medieval sort of way, it is perched on a hill, and when walking past the castle from below the hill on the backside it seems to shoot up forever.
As I was departing the Avignon TGV shuttle service train at Avignon Centre I noticed an intermodal train reversing through the station and managed to get a grab shot as it receded in the distance. I stayed at the Ibis Hotel at the station overlooking the tracks and there were frequent freight trains through the station with yards on both sides of the station. There was even a roundhouse not that far away, which for some reason I did not check out.
