An attractive village near Moreton-in-Marsh. The church of St Edward is perched above the houses, it has a three-stage west tower c. 1400, a south aisle and a Victorian south porch. The chancel arch is late Norman, though the capitals have been restored. The C14 south aisle has lozenge-shaped octagonal piers and its south door has a cinquefoiled niche above. Two Decorated south windows, one with a piscina in its sill and a sedile moved from the chancel. The windows sills have Nine Men's Morris games carved into them. The painted remains of the rood screen also remain. There several aumbries, the chancel was restored by Cutts 1878-9 when the north vestry was added, he also worked on the nave and aisle 1884-6 when paintings above the chancel arch were discovered, though they are no longer visible. The font is C15 and octagonal, the oak pulpit is c. 1400 with low relief tracery and small carved heads. The altar rails are by R.H. Fyson of Kencot 1961 and the tower screen was erected in 1942. There are fragments of medieval glass in the south aisle window, including the head of a king. Also an interesting graffiti can be found on the south side of the chancel arch.
