In her enclosure Kamlesh the asian lion has a nap. While domestic cats tend to curl up to sleep, it appears that asian lions prefer to look like they've just passed out and toppled to one side.

This Asian koel (Eudynamys scolopaceus) is a male as it is totally black. Females are gray in color with dark grey to black specks forming on their bodies. They display proper sexual dimorphism (physical difference between genders). However, the color does not change through breeding or non-breeding seasons.
Notice the gray beak and red eyes, that sets this bird apart from house or large-billed crows. The long tail is another feature, but not captured properly in this picture. They also exhibit an impatient flight pattern with quickly flapping wings, as compared to the crows that patiently flap the wings while traversing long distances. Koels are hideous birds and do not expose themselves like crows.

This is Roz/rockymountainroz's Asian Butterfly custom, all done! She just needs her scalp glued down. Her chips are all brainworm, and are pinkish brown, aqua, ocean, and handpainted teal & copper. She has a natural face-up with sunkissed cheeks, nose and chin, and a million tiny freckles.
Also - I'm working on a special custom girl named "Heart" who is being created especially for Japan disaster relief - look for her later in the week!
Sparrow is also being finished up, having a special hat and dress made, and there will be more news about her toward the end of the week as well.
