She strolled into the room exuding effortless style, wearing an off-shoulder long sleeve top that clung to her figure, paired with sleek black leggings featuring alluring gap designs along the sides of her legs. Her oversized socks peeked out from her sneakers, adding a touch of street fashion to the ensemble. Completing the look were her platform sneakers, making her stand tall and confident.

Climbing the first hill of Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Funny, just realized this is one of the only hand held shots that I didn't need to straighten. Go figure.

Lomography Color 100

Developed by the Darkroom

I used DStretch luminosity layers and converted to B&W to bring out the figure at upper left. It's faint and difficult to see, but once you've seen it, it feels like an important part of the composition. In DStretch it looks like it may be a different pigment, so I'm not sure if it is part of the original composition, or if the difference is due to the different rock surface it's on.

It all seems to make just a little more sense when I see a place like this.

The Greenstone Trail runs the length of Isle Royale. We used it as the centerpiece our trip, while hiking various parallel trails and connectors too.

New York wandering

Regrettably, the one place we spent next to zero time in was Zion. We raced through to be at this spot for sunset, as i had a very specific shot in mind with overlaying the car light trails. At the end of shooting, i was alone by myself from this vantage point capturing the light trails, having bats flying all around and trying to take in the scope of this place. Also, it was apparently crawling with Tarantulas, but in the darkness, I didn't notice. Which is a very good thing for me.

Finishing up scanning some of my first run of Cinestill. Underexposed almost every shot I took I three rolls, but managed to save a few that I liked.

The Lark Ascending will make most people think of Ralph Vaughan Williams' musical composition (composed 1914 but premiered 1920). But it was George Meredith's 1881 poem of the same name that inspired Vaughan Williams to compose his piece.

Skylarks are really quite difficult to photograph in flight as they rapidly rise so high that they are just a dot in the sky in next to no time. So to photograph one in flight you have to catch "the lark ascending" soon after take-off. Fortunately they sing from the word go, so you get a warning of where to aim the camera. But after a second or two he is way too high for a decent shot. I used 1/1250 exposure to try to freeze the action but those wing tips are just a blur. But you can see his bill is wide open as "he drops the silver chain of sound" (that's a line from Meredith's poem).

The new 'bridge' at Reading train station is quite a bit more than a bridge: an entire new terminal that could be the envy of some airports...
