This month the Contemporary Jewish Museum opens a new, special exhibition that highlights the significance of trees in Judaism, and sparks a layered dialogue with viewers about our natural world. The three-part exhibition, entitled Do Not Destroy: Trees, Art, and Jewish Thought, brings together paintings, installation, photography, and video from both locally, and internationally, recognized artists. The exhibition also features works on loan from the MOMA in New York.

DAY THREE
This is for the next competition which is flowers and gardens. I thought I would keep to the same style as previous entries.
There's a place on Venice Beach where graffiti artists can do their thing without breaking the law or destroying property. It was neat to see these guys creating their artwork, and they were very receptive to talking about it and having conversations while they worked.
Someday it would be nice if someone made such a plaque for me at my house: Bev Norton, painter, potter, dwelt here... once upon a time :>)
A reception on May 26, 2022, celebrated artists whose work was selected to adorn the walls of UC Hastings campus buildings.
The Wild Huckleberries' Red Hat group enjoyed a dinner and concert at the Mathis Auditorium in Valdosta, GA. The event was a fundraise for ACTO: Altzheimer's Caregivers Time Out. The concert was performed by Austin Irby of South Carolina. We all had a good time.
The painter must enclose himself within his work; he must respond not with words, but with paintings.
