The installation I did on my first visit to Elsewhere in Greensboro, NC. I made a tea tent on the third floor. The tent dealt with my exploration of Elsewhere and Sylvia Gray. This was in the summer of 2005.

Street Artist Shepard Fairey and his team have been hard at work completing their largest ever mural on the walls of a West Hollywood library parking structure. The 105' x 67' foot mural was a huge undertaking for the Fairey team, and stands as a testament to the importance of Fairey in the art world and the skill of his hardworking crew. Artists RETNA and Kenny Scharf also brought their time and talent to the project which was curated by the intrepid minds at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Los Angeles. Warholian's own Birdman was there to catch the action, and gave us a view of the project from his own perspective.

Back in the mid-90's, before AdHouse, I was a grade-A fanboy. As such, I thought up a project where I would send my favorite artists a blank trading card for them to illustrate. I created the back, which had a brief bio, sample art, and more than likely typos. There were three volumes of these cards. And by "volumes" what I would do is make a mini-book of each series that I would then send out to each participant of that volume.
So here is a sample of one of those cards. It was great getting them in the mail, usually along with a note. I "think" I promised the creators that the art would not be "printed" anywhere else (other than the mini-books), so if anyone has an issue with my posting them here, just let me know.

Ford Madox Brown's second recorded self-portrait. In 1850 he had a studio in Newman Street and was completing his enormous Chaucer for the 1851 Royal Academy. The drawing was retouched in October 1853, during which time he was finishing his landscape ‘An English Autumn Afternoon’, now in Birmingham City Art Gallery.
William Michael Rossetti, brother of Dante Gabriel Rossetti, described his appearance:</b?
‘He was a vigorous-looking man, with a face full of insight and purpose; thick straight brown hair, fair skin, well-colored visage, bluish eyes, broad brow, square and rather high shoulders, slow and distinct articulation. His face was good-looking as well as fine; but less decidedly handsome, I think, than it became towards the age of forty. As an old man… he had a grand patriarchal aspect.'

Artist Chin Chih Yang will present his interactive performance art piece “Kill Me or Change” in front of the Queens Museum of Art. Buried by 30,000 aluminum cans that will be dropped on the artist, the project examines the effects of over-consumption in modern society in a form that is both provocative and playful.
Chin Chih Yang suspends 30,000 aluminum cans--the average number of cans one person throws away over a lifetime--contained in a mesh net which is suspended 30 feet above ground in a crane, which hovers over the audience. As the finale to each performance the contents of the net will be released onto Yang’s head, in a colorful and overwhelming display of aluminum waste. By showing, quite literally, the suffocating effects of one person’s personal polluting, Yang hopes this piece will serve as a call to action for audience members to examine their habits of personal consumption.
