I have boxes of all things dental lab... 3 Tropicana trays, glass slabs, mixing bowls, lines & nozzles, Kerr digital Ultra waxer with 3 tips and Kerr digital dip pot, waxes, jet acrylic many shades, stains for temps, all calibration/mounting acc. for Artex articulator, Dedeco stickies for grinder, pour flasks, plastic art. and molds, investment rings, more stuff I can't see at bottom.

At long last, we had the third bedroom plastered today... Yippee, no more ugly Artex on the ceiling!

I really like that shot, I like the symmetry of it, and all the bright colours... ;-)

Original 1969 tin bath removed. It was modernised slightly in the 1980s by the looks of it. The '80s basin now replaced. Also note the newly plastered ceiling so no more hideous '80s stickly artex/texture and a new vent/extractor fan. The bathroom will be getting an electric shower!

Well it's probably not Artex, but you know what I mean. This is just another small detail of the Portuguese town of Alvor.

It's sunny in Wales today which reminded me of that

Wallpaper on 'feature' wall in Whitevale flats. The Artex on the walls in the adjacent room was a sight to behold, but the camera couldn't really capture the true effect.

A charming fantasy on a steep downhill. Best seen in All sizes!

Table Top. Taken from a 12x 16 print from my film days in the 70's Developed and printed at home in my dark room. All items scaled down from reality. I made all the Jug, mug, candlestick etc. from modelling clay. The book was a small pocket dictionary. The walls were formed from board and artex, to form the stone work and window. Loads of fun making it. The light coming in from the "window" was a flash unit.

Welcome to the Roberta's pizza world, this was a great welcome card.

Pizza dough was thin and crispy, and had a pleasant taste and texture. Vegetarian topping certainly worked on this pie - nice, complex, yet rustic. I may have wished for a bit more chili heat ( not sure if there was any), but it tasted really good as is.

Please take a look at the entire Roberta's Pizza picture set and consider Overall Impression.

Evenstow is a fictitious harbour/resort in North Devon, somewhere "beyond" Barnstaple. The time is the late

1920s /mid 1930s. Baseboards are plywood, with ground contours built up from expanded polystyrene, covered with

dish-cloth material as reinforcement, and coated with Artex. Scenic dressings are generally by Woodland Scenics; trees

are generally from Heki kits. The layout is to P4 standards, using steel rail, C&L and Exactoscale chairs, ply sleepers and

point timbers, laid on 3mm cork. Dummy point-rodding utilises Model Signal Engineering components, the rodding being

27 SWG piano wire. Facing point locks are scratch-built. Point and signal operation is by Hoffman motors, signals being

Ratio. Buildings are generally scratch-built from styrene sheet, augmented with kits where suitable are available. Locos

and rolling stock are a mixture of kit-based and ready to run, modified where appropriate, and with added detail. Couplings

are Alex Jackson, uncoupling being effected through just three strategically placed electro-magnets.

The sequence of operations is intended to represent a typical weekday at Evenstow.

Great sale this weekend, patterns 25 cents, hoops, all for $1. Blogged barncat-alwayshome.blogspot.com/. Forgot to include the Artex ones, they were definitely from the 70's, very odd!

Ad in Decorating and Craft Ideas magazine October 1975..you could send in to get the kit...to attend a free painting class OR How you can become a teenage Artex Instructor!!!!

I thought the graphics..esp. those groovy mushrooms..were awesome!!!

This model started off as a Bachmann 0n30 Porter Side-Rod Gas Mechanical Diesel Locomotive. It has had most of the parts of a 'Backwoods Miniatures' enhancement kit fitted, plus odd little bits that I have added separately. The diorama was constructed mainly from strips of balsa wood and stained with a diluted solution of India ink and IPA followed by weathering powders. Grass is stained car insulation and the groundwork is PVA mixed with Artex and then covered with ash fixed with diluted PVA. It kept me off the streets for a while!

The ArtExpo is one of the most important annual events for the New York art community. And since New York is considered the epicenter of the contemporary art scene, that makes the ArtExpo once of the most important art events in the world each year. A trade show, ArtExpo is a unique experience for viewers to see works by up to 1,000 individual artists in one place. Even better, the show presents art in a number of mediums by artists at numerous stages in their careers, meaning their truly is something for everyone. It is the world’s largest fine art trade show. For artists, it is a great opportunity to network and get their art seen by a variety of influential figures in the art community. For art collectors and audiences, it is a great experience to view a plethora of innovative contemporary artwork under one roof.

Held at Pier 92, ArtExpo presents an opportunity for artists and art-lovers to access innovative new works. The art showcased is promoted as rare, unique, and innovative- and the promotion works. Gallery owners, traders, framing retailers, art publishers, art buyers, artists, and art lovers all consider the event one of the most important of the year. People travel from all over the country, some from all over the world, to see the unique exhibit.

In the past, ArtExpo has shown work by legendary artists including Andy Warhol, Leroy Neiman, Robert Indian, Robert Rauschenberg, and Peter Max. The show features art of varying mediums including painting, glasswork, ceramic, sculptures, lithographs, drawings, photography, and others. This year, over 1,000 artists will be represented at ArtExpo. The artists featured are largely mid-level career artists, who have a solid fan base but are not the household names they’d like to become yet. ArtExpo can be an important springboard for them to expand their careers. Independent artists can even buy wall space in the ‘Rising Artist Gallery” to give even more exposure to up-and-coming talent. The majority of artwork displayed will be created by contemporary artists. 20,000 people are expected to attend over the 4 days the event will be held. Artists featured in this year’s show include Abstract Expressionist Charlie Hays, New Jersey native Bill Lopa, contemporary figurative artists Vladan Ignatov, self-described “Hyper Realist” Eric Christensen, John Spearks, Gaylord Ho, and many others. Price ranges for the shows artwork range widely, from $100 up to $150,000. That might be the best thing about the show- there is a style, artist, medium, and price for everyone to participate and enjoy, and the diversity is what makes the experience unique.

For those traveling, nearby accommodations include The Hilton Garden Inn, Hotel Gansevoort, The Maritime Hotel, Hotel 309, the GEM Hotel-Chelsea, Hotel Chelsea, Washington Square Hotel, Chelsea Inn, Wyndham Garden Hostel, Manhattan Chelsea West, and the Chelsea Start Hotel.

ArtExpo will run from March 21-24 at Pier 92 in New York City: Pier 92-94; 12th Avenue, New York, NY 10019. This is ArtExpo’s 35th year. General admission is $20.00 and will get you a one-day pass. For additional information, the event’s website is artexponewyork.com.

I am sooooo overly excited. Hubby and I went to the storage container and found my boxes of patterns. I have 3 boxes of patterns for fabric, crafts, kids clothes, adult clothes etc. I've been looking for these boxes for 5 years!!! The reason why I couldn't find them was because the box was labeled kids crafts and at the top of the box you could see shrinky dinks so I never thought to open the box that my stuff would be in there. To my joyful surprise there they were my boxes of patterns. WOOHOO And some very old vintage one's to boot. Holly Hobbie, these Tri-chem transfers, Aunt Martha transfers, parachute and balloon pants lol, Teletubbies you name it!

can't beleve people still have this shit i am having all the ceilings done this week watch this space for smoothness, if you have recently have some artexing done your an idiot end of story!

The canon T3I that I was using developed a sensor failure during the sequence. I really love these Wallops rocket launches at night. The show is very nice from my front yard.

Food for literary thought

ON HER first job, waitress Jessie Wyatt literally dropped a hot potato into a man's lap at a dinner at The Albert Hotel, Colchester.

"I just walked right on and never looked back," she re called.

But that's one anecdote that hasn't yet found its way into letters to magazines or short stories she writes at her home in Maldon Road. Thirteen years as a waitress at the Red Lion Hotel, Colchester, and recently two long holidays spent in America with her married daughter have given her, plenty of fuel for the literary soul that lurks beneath the prim black dress and white aproned figure which is a familiar sight at every big lunch and dinner in town.spent America with her married daughter have given her, plenty of fuel for the literary soul that lurks beneath the prim black dress and white aproned figure which is a familiar sight at every big lunch and dinner in town.

A mother of seven and grandmother of nine, the produce of her predominantly artistic family fill her home, with two ex-painter and decorator sons, an artist daughter at Alresford and an "art and craft" daughter in America, there is a heavy emphasis on attractive furnishings.

Especially since she took up artex embroidery on her first trip to the States at Christmas, for holiday. a six-week

Just back after another nine-week stay there with her 17-year-old son Clive, she talked proudly of her "American" daughter's cera mics, many of which were in pride of place on the side board.

And of her chance meeting with the nephew of her noto rious namesake Jesse James. "He just walked into my daughter's craft shop and I remarked on his name being the same as mine, and he said THE Jesse James was his uncle," she remembered, "I was quite thrilled because I'm a keen western fan."

Her daughter may soon be coming back to England and Jessie has hopefully written a story called "The Day Jan Came Home." She says she likes writing about her experience as a waitress too hence "Afternoon tea" about

ÍNDIOS E BRANCOS NO SUL DO BRASIL - a dramática experiência dos Xokleng, um livro por Sílvio Coelho dos Santos.

O Vale do Garcia
