This was taken one day after the Summer Solstice thus the sunset is essentially at it's northern apex on the solstice pendulum. As one can see in the photo this particular shot with the sunset and corresponding late light has a short window for this northern position on the butte. In no time at all the sun will be setting behind the hill to the left blocking the low late light effect on the field. On this particular evening conditions were great to capture this somewhat rare, for this location anyway, horizon low late light.

Platanthera huronensis, the (Tall) Green Bog Orchid
Many flowers on robust plants up to 1 metre tall. The orientation of the pollinia (almost parallel, with a distinct space at their apex) are a fairly good way to distinguish this species from the much smaller P. aquilonis.
This was taken at an amazing roadside ditch with many other (hundreds) of Platantheras. Incredible sight!

Piazza Fasci dei Lavoratori, one of the set-piece civic spaces created as part of the construction of the new town of Nuova Gibellina, Sicily. The town was built from scratch, from the 1970s onwards, to replace the original town (10km away) which was destroyed by an earthquake in 1968.
This square is one of a series of similar spaces called 'Sistema Delle Piazze' which were designed by Franco Purini and Laura Thermes.

Cruiseship Celebrity Apex made its maiden call at Cruise Port Amsterdam at saturday may 14. It is the 2nd ship of the Edge-class of Celebrity Cruises. Tghe ship was delivered in may 2020.
Mistress had an assignment for Jacey tonight. After countless nights learning how to flirt with men, tonight, her homework was to practice her seduction of women.
