It was a dark gloomy day and I thought I wouldn't be able to get any good pictures, but then I found a nice formation of rocks on the beach surrounded by shallow water, so I couldn't resist myself. I took the shot. And here it is.

Il y a quelques temps j'ai passé un petit week end en Normandie.
Au programme : le Mont Saint-Michel et quelques cascades de la manche. Malheureusement j'ai fait le Mont Saint-Michel quand la lumière n'était pas top et les cascades quand la lumière était bonne ... Du coup je n'étais pas très content de mes images au coucher du soleil au pied du Mont et ai rejoint ces fameux méandres à l'heure bleue quelques centaines de mètres plus loin. Ils sont très photogéniques et les contrastes entre l'heure bleue et le Mont éclairé le sont tout autant. Un sacré spot mine de rien !

Il y a des photos dont on a rêvées mais qu'on n'a jamais pu faire.
Je ne rêvais pas d'une lumière incroyable au lac des Chésérys, juste d'un reflet.
Après une journée à se reposer sur les bords du lac Blanc juste au dessus, nous avions décidé de redescendre au niveau des Chésérys 140m en contrebas pour le coucher du soleil.
Le vent soufflait et balayait le lac empêchant tout reflet de se former.
5 min avant que les derniers rayons du soleil aient fini de rougir les aiguilles, le vent stoppa d'un seul coup et les reflets apparurent.
À peine le temps d'appeler mes 2 compères Philippe et Nicolas que le moment était déjà presque terminé.
Un reflet presque parfait, des aiguilles rougies, un ciel pas de "chaos" mais bien sympa quand même ... magique !
Un moment dont je me rappellerai longtemps et la soirée photos ne faisait que commencer !
Encore une fois l'image est un panorama effectué avec le 50mm f1.8 de Nikon, la focale la moins cher du marché et pourtant les détails sont hallucinants en zoomant énormément sur le PC.
Un tirage de 5m x 2m passerait sans problème !

The forests around the Makarora area are simply spectacular. Beautiful deep green colours with clean streams of fast waters braking the otherwise uninterrupted silence.
It took me a good couple of hours to get this shot right. I had to take it from a suspended bridge which wasn't very stable. But it was definitely worth it.

Los bosques en el área de Makarora, Nueva Zelanda, son simplemente espectaculares. Bonitos y ricos verdes contrastados con limpios arroyos de aguas rápidas rompiendo el silencio que de otra manera se ve ininterrumpido.
Necesité un par de horas para poder tomar esta foto bien. La razón, la tuve que hacer desde un puente colgante que se movía de vez en cuando arruinando mi larga exposición. Pero en cualquier caso creo que el resultado valió la pena.
