This is my last post on this network. Tomorrow my subscription to the pro version ends and I am not going to renew it. A few days ago I decided not to pay to display my work, so I will also disappear from X when my blue label expires, if not before given the controversy that surrounds this other network since a careless child with an adult body put it at his service and that of even more spurious interests. It has been a real pleasure, and an honour, sharing my work for six years with so many virtual friends who have appreciated it selflessly. I say goodbye to you with sincere affection and gratitude. Ibises are a group of long-legged wading birds in the family Threskiornithidae, that inhabit wetlands, forests and plains. Ibises usually feed as a group, probing mud for food items, usually crustaceans. It is widespread across much of Australia. It has a predominantly white plumage with a bare, black head, long down curved bill and black legs. They are monogamous and highly territorial while nesting and feeding. Most nest in trees, often with spoonbills or herons. Due to its increasing presence in the urban environment and its habit of rummaging in garbage, the species has acquired a variety of colloquial names such as tip turkey; and bin chicken, and in recent years has become an icon of popular culture, being regarded with passion, wit, and, in equal measure, affection and disgust. 55209
An unusual picture for me but I did capture the moment. Also it's worth noting that the camera was cropped to 50mm in camera so I'm pleased with the results.
A bit of a throwback from a foggy morning in August. Throwback is probably the wrong term as you have never seen this before, it’s been ignored on my hard drive. A big part of my passion for photography is taking photos of places that are new and a record of my explorations, and I’m usually not in a rush to look at or process photos from my local area especially if I have new batch photos from more unfamiliar places come along. So it’s refreshing to rediscover this photo again, familiar as I am with this view the conditions that morning where rather special, and I’m sure in years to come this photo will probably grow in my affections, more so that an excitedly taken photo in an unfamiliar place.

Some of the most wonderful light I've seen - snow glowing in the subtlest remains of twilight, cold silver-white contrasting with the cobalt blue sky above.
Stuc a'Chroin and a sweeping arc of Ben Vorlich from Scout Head hill, Gargunnock.
Originally taken as a vertorama to include a lot lower detail, but I took these two images and super-resolved them for a very large high-detailed view of the mountains.

A 360 degrees panorama photo taken on the top on one of the royal "mounds" in Old Uppsala. The couple got up just as I finished my 360 degrees rotation. I kept them in the photo as I found it rather interesting to ahve them there.
Waiting for you blur, hoping to see
