Ein Austernfischerpärchen hatte seine Jungen zwischen Strandkörben. Ein Elternvogel schlief auf einem Strandkorb, der andere flog hin und her und besorgte Würmer etc. Hier scheint es ein liebevolles Betteln zu sein - der Jungvogel (kein rotes Auge, keine roten Beine) kam immer wieder mit dem Schnabel und strich am Altvogel entlang.

A pair of oystercatchers had its fledglings between traditional baltic beach chairs. One of the parents slept on one of these chairs, the other came with worms every few minutes. This here was a show of affection from the young one (no red eye, no red legs) who nudged its parent with its long beak
Display of Affection is a macro photo of tulip petals. The pattern of water droplets on the tulip are arranged like like the circular patterns on the feathers of a peacock. The petals of flowers work to attract insects for pollination...

Barred Owls have personality. The are diurnal, which means we have some light to observe and photograph them. They have great calls. I particularly agree when the pair join in for a lively conversation. I was fortunate to catch this moment when they joined up on the branch and showed some affection for each other.
A pair of Silvereyes, winter back yard, New Zealand. Silvereyes (also known as Wax-eye and locally as Tauhou) when paired show great affection for each other, stroking and preening one another's feathers and cuddling together. Silvereyes are slightly smaller than a sparrow.
Les ibis rouges ont des pieds légèrement palmés et un fin bec incurvé vers le bas. Son caractère le plus remarquable demeure cependant son magnifique plumage presque entièrement rouge, hormis l'extrémité bleu-noir lustré des ailes. La couleur varie du rouge écarlate au rose orangé selon la population, la saison et la nourriture. La coloration spectaculaire de l'ibis rouge est due à la présence de caroténoïdes, pigments contenus dans son alimentation et notamment les crevettes. Si les deux sexes présentent un plumage identique, le mâle est toutefois légèrement plus grand que la femelle. Alors que les adultes présentent des couleurs resplendissantes, les immatures s'en distinguent nettement par leurs couleurs ternes : ils ont une tête et un dos brun, un ventre blanc. Des taches rouges apparaissent au fur et à mesure de la croissance mais ce n'est qu'au bout de 2 ans que le jeune acquiert totalement le plumage adulte.
Compte tenu de la grande superficie de son aire de répartition, cet oiseau fréquente une grande variété d'habitats, toujours très fortement liés aux milieux aquatiques.
Dans certaines régions, l'ibis rouge se rencontre presque exclusivement sur les vasières, les lagunes littorales et les mangroves de front de mer. Il est présent pratiquement dans tous les estuaires et à proximité de l'embouchure de tous les grands cours d'eau. Dans d'autres endroits de son aire de distribution, il affectionne plus particulièrement les zones marécageuses à l'intérieur des terres . Il a tendance à nicher dans les îles pourvues d'une couverture dense de broussailles. L'espèce est nomadique et entreprend des courtes migrations entre ses emplacement du littoral et les zones humides de l'intérieur.
L'ibis rouge est présent du sud-est des Etats-Unis au sud-est du Brésil, en passant par le littoral Pacifique de l'Amérique Centrale et les Grandes Antilles.
