With the old HDO Kroger store all but gone, it might be a good time to take a break from that and view some more photos of the new store...
Thus far, and likely for another set or two of photos at least, nearly all my pics of the new Kroger Marketplace in Hernando have been from opening day, and this one is no exception. As evidenced here, the crew at this store was certainly on their game making the store look quite presentable, both inside and out, for opening day guests. And trust me, the locals for the most part have been very eager for fall to arrive, so they were very much liking the autumn décor here I would imagine!

Kroger Marketplace, 2016 built, Commerce St. at E. Parkway, Hernando, MS
Marketplace Mall opened in 1975. Its current anchors are Macy's, Bergners, JCPenney, and Dick's Sporting Goods/ Field and Stream. Sears closed its Marketplace location in 2014.
Every marketplace needs a Santa booth (seriously, what are these places called? Thrones? Booths? Sit on Santa places?) and hence I couldn't resist building one for the Eurobricks Expand the Winter Village Market contest. Forgive the lack of tiling and the slopey tree, the contest asks for TLG style building.

Bayside Marketplace is a two-story open-air shopping center located in downtown Miami, Florida. The banks of Biscayne Bay wrap around the property with the City of Miami marina at its side. It is recognized by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitor's Bureau as the number one most visited attraction in Miami. Different from typical shopping malls, Bayside offers an entertainment experience with live music daily, restaurants, bars, open-container policy, family events, and the picturesque settings that come with a waterfront property. Tenancy at the Bayside Marketplace consists of 140 inline spaces, in addition to over 50 carts and kiosks located in and around the center.
The entertainment complex opened during a major real estate boom in Miami. Instead of being planned to revitalize a specific area as its brother properties had, Bayside complements an existing marina. The shopping center was frequently featured on the crime drama TV series, Miami Vice.
The center attracts many tourists all year long. It is served by the Metrorail at the Government Center, and directly by the Metromover at College/Bayside station.

In 2014 International Market Place will be torn down to make way for a Saks 5th Ave, cos nothing says hawaii like a Saks 5th Ave.
