Varifocus diptych of the courtyard of St John's Cathedral, Valetta - shot through the iron fence decorated with the Maltese cross. The 8-pointed cross of the Knights of Malta is a long recognised symbol of the island, as well as the 'hospitalier' (health charity) activities of the Order of St John.

Today, my wife and I took a drive to beautiful Culzean Country Park with Lewis - and his scooter! It was a beautiful day, 9.5C degrees and we had a great time. Lewis, loved running around the castle grounds and I managed to catch him after he climbed up here, shouting Pops, Pops, look at me! So I did and I managed to catch today's shot!

Week 8
I've always wanted to create this kind of backdrop and I finally had an idea in my head where the background would actually enhance the image so I went forward with it. I went through about three cans of spray adhesive but thats alright. I started school again so I am slightly nervous about balancing school with working and then on top of that still being able to find time to do what I've really been enjoying lately which is creating these photographs. Honestly, I would rather take one less class and create a picture a week than the opposite. I did a fair amount of post work with this shot. It took about an hour and a half in total to shoot everything because its pretty hard to get paper to fall in the exact location you want it to when you are using a self timer. A trigger would be a great investment! Regardless, the flying paper location took quite a while to get right and then I started getting so picky about where the red book needed to be so I kept having to reshoot that. But, the import part is when I finally got it completely done I knew I was happy.
Also, I don't know if anyone pixel peeks but the book has a special title on it.
Almost done, promise. I started building either week nine or ten's backdrop before I even started with this one. Basically I'm replicating the front and right side of a run down house/shack to the best of my ability and then burning it for a photoshoot. Its about fourteen feet tall. I just need to put the roof on and then it should be good to go. It's nice to have friends that live in the middle of nowhere. Hopefully it turns out as well as I imagine.

Flybe DHC-8-402 Dash 8 G-KKEV (which used to have a picture of Kevin Keegan on the fuselage by the front door) going-around at Chambéry Airport - I assume due to a change in wind direction as it then landed on runway 36R.
"Flying V" makes me happy.. Because I was (ahem still am) a fan of Disney's Mighty Ducks series. Who doesn't love Gordon Bombay!? ;D
