3963 George Washington Memorial Highway, Hayes, VA
Opened on May 8th, 2008; originally 1983-built Little Sue
They taste like mustard and the water weiners were boiled in. I don't put mustard on hotdogs and am not in the habit of drinking the water weiners get boiled in (or eating boiled weiners, my mom heated them that way).
7-Eleven #15058 (2,744 square feet)
486 Wythe Creek Road, Poquoson, VA
Built and opened in 1971
Curiously, this road sign is a mid-80s replacement for the original road sign, which would've looked like this. I wonder why they swapped them out?
Also worth noting: this store was the subject of some of the earliest photos on my photostream. I stopped in here way back in July 2007 and took photos of some of their The Simpsons Movie promotional material (my visit was directly after seeing that movie nearby!), which I believe were the very first interior photos I ever took, though I had started doing exterior photos a month prior.
I was excited to see an actual 7-Eleven after seeing several convenience stores with similar color schemes.

7Eleven
Yup, the title says it all. 7/11 is a day where 7 Eleven's around the world give away free slurpees! The guys at the 7 Eleven in Wallingford would have probably let me do like 100 free ones but instead Jon, Alyssa and I went on a Slurpee adventure. Best story from the day was when we made our way to the Phinney Ridge, a bunch of high school girls were sitting in their car drinking their slurpees and as we pulled up next to them, they wouldn't stop staring at us. We got our Slurpees but I didn't drink mine. I told Jon to pull out then back up right into the same spot. As we pull out of the spot and start to back up, all the girls turn their heads to watch us. My eyes meet their eyes, I give a little nod and a little smile and BAM toss the entire slurpee directly at the passenger side window. The girls screamed as Blue SLURPEE splashed everywhere and we made a mad dash for the exit! Normally I wouldn't waste my precious Slurpee but as you can see from the photos we had our fair share today!
Fun day, with good friends! longboarding, fast food, Slurpees, crazy people, traffic, short cuts, more fast food, more Slurpees, laughs, tiredness, hyperness, pranks, Slurpees, saving $1.05, sweet views, and it all ended with an epic firework display. Thanks Jon and Alyssa!

This reminds me (oddly) of the turquoise M at the McDonalds in Sedona. You have to love local business regulations!

Bergin and I saw so many 7-Elevens in Stockholm that I decided to start taking pictures of every 7-Eleven we see, just to count it up!

I remember getting a Slurpee during this visit and how gross it tasted, like all plasticy. Probably because the machine was brand new at the time and hadn't been broken into.
The old "Big Gulp" cup and the new "7 Eleven Large Cold Drink Cup.
I have had this Big Gulp cup for at least 3 months.
New cups sold at: 7 Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes convenience stores.
