Some more 4x5 tests using my old Polaroid Model 150 Roll Film Camera. Kodak Royal-X Pan 4166 (expired 6/1986) shot at about ISO 100.

I'm still having some troubles with the old Fink-Roselieve FR cut-film-pack developing tank. At first I thought I wasn't using enough liquid, but now, with plenty of liquid I'm still getting some odd dark areas of the negative near the top of the tank and I'm wondering if it's possible light leek? Hard to figure out. (I'll post some pix of the negs themselves soon.)

Built from mid-1970s, the "Tram 2000" was planned to replace the whole Zurich tram fleet until 2000. As we know, the "invention" of low-floor trams and the oncoming wish to use air-conditionned vehicles made that plans redundant, and around 2000, the first Cobra trams set a new standard in Switzerland's largest urban area. With the first Bombardier Flexitys entering service, the replacement for that iconic trams is getting nearer, while it is not clear, if the Flexities will be the definitive end for the series or not. The articulated Be 4/6 are used mainly in couples or combined with an added Be 4/4 single motor car, but where (and still are) running solo especially on route 15, which is among others using the nearly car-free "Limmatquai" - seen here from Lindenhof square in old "Oberdorf" part of Zurich.

Nelson Mandela l'a compris depuis longtemps.

I here denounce all of the segregation that still exist to this day. All humans are equals, is it so difficult to understand? Nelson Mandela understood this long ago.

"Nelson Mandela was an anti-apartheid activist, and the leader of Umkhonto we Sizwe, the armed wing of the African National Congress (ANC). In 1962 he was arrested and convicted of sabotage and other charges, and sentenced to life in prison. Mandela served 27 years in prison, spending many of these years on Robben Island. Following his release from prison on 11 February 1990, Mandela led his party in the negotiations that led to multi-racial democracy in 1994. As president from 1994 to 1999, he frequently gave priority to reconciliation."

Let's change the world, one photo at a time.

It was a quiet old day today. Hot outside, and everyone was just plodding along doing a little bit of this and that. Of course we all swam in the afternoon, in holidays that pretty much goes without saying.

This shot is very "Miranda". She's quite an interesting character. Mind-blowingly intelligent. Outspoken and forthright, strong-willed and creative. On the other hand she is very comfortable with being alone, and spends a lot of time in her own world. I say that while she is a difficult child, I can imagine the strong woman she will become, and cherish my part in helping that happen.

Lamborghini Murcielago

Engine: 6.2 V12

Power: 572.0 bhp (426.5 kW) @ 7500 rpm

Torque: 650.0 Nm (479 ft·lb) @ 5400 rpm

Weight: 1650 kilo / 3637.6 lbs

Drive: All wheel drive

Gearbox: 6 Speed Manual

Acceleration: 0-60 mph 4.00 s

Top speed 332 km/h (206 mph)

The Lamborghini Murciélago, for the first time in the history of the brand is equipped with a 6-speed gearbox, while the transmission maintains the traditional Lamborghini layout. The Murciélago, like its predecessor the Diablo, is equipped with permanent four-wheel drive and a central viscous coupling (Viscous Traction System), with 45% limited slip and the front with 25% limited slip. This solution represents an active traction control system: excess torque on the primary axle (rear) is automatically transferred to the secondary axle (front) to maintain ideal traction at all times.

The Murciélago chassis has been stiffened considerably compared to the Diablo's. The chassis consists of a frame made of high-strength steel tube, with structural elements in carbon fibre/honeycomb. The carbon fibre elements are attached to the steel frame using a combination of adhesives and steel rivets.
