“The world would be a nicer place if everyone had the ability to love as unconditionally as a dog.” – M.K. Clinton
“We're wired to see patterns
like pictures in grilled cheese.
On Mars, in stars, in cliffsides Oh, the things we once believed!”

What better contraption than a Swiss Army penknife. And this just happens to be the first ever penknife I was given, only a couple of years ago as I wasn't allowed one when I was a youngster. Lots of different tools; even a pair of tweezers. But this photo concentrates on one of the hinged ends focusing on the bottle opener. I never realised how useful these things can be (I even used the screwdriver to tighten the tripod before I took this photo); every girl should have a penknife. HMM.
Allow
There is no controlling life.
Try corralling a lightning bolt,
cntaining a tornado. Dam a
stream and it will create a new
channel. Resist, and the tide
will sweep you off your feet.
Allow, and grace will carry
you to higher ground. The only
safety lies in letting it all in –
the wild and the weak; fear,
fantasies, failures and success.
When loss rips off the doors of
the heart, or sadness veils your
vision with despair, practice
becomes simply bearing the truth.
In the choice to let go of your
known way of being, the whole
world is revealed to your new eyes.

Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect. ~Chief Seattle
There is nothing as strong as tenderness, And nothing as tender as true strength.
~Saint Francis De Sales
“Ten times a day something happens to me like this – some strengthening throb of amazement – some good sweet empathic ping and swell. This is the first, the wildest and the wisest thing I know: that the soul exists and is built entirely out of attentiveness.” ~ Mary Oliver

I always feel the desire to look for the extraordinary in ordinary things; to suggest, not to impose, to leave always a slight touch of mystery in my paintings.~Balthus

This tiny Eiffel Tower is just one of five charms on a vintage bracelet that my mother bought while we were living in France during my fathers service time. The Eiffel Tower is 1.25" tall.
”Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn’t you – all of the expectations, all of the beliefs – and becoming who you are.” – Rachel Naomi Remen

Francis Albert Sinatra was his name: I love the natural framing of the van window as this beautiful Italian Spinone stuck his head out of the van.
