Seattle City Light's Old Number 6 on display along the North Cascades Highway in Newhalem, Washington.
Purchased in 1927 for $7,500, "No. 6" carried supplies and equipment to build the dams and powerhouses. She brought personnel and tourists to the Skagit until 1954.
She played a major role in helping fulfill the dream of J.D. Ross to build a hydroelectric project to supply the city of Seattle with low cost electricity.
Newhalem is a small, unincorporated community in northwestern Washington, USA, located in the western foothills of the North Cascades along the Skagit River. It is located within Whatcom County.
Newhalem is a company town owned by Seattle City Light and populated entirely by employees of the Skagit River Hydroelectric Project, or in local county, state or federal agencies. The town is not open to permanent residents who do not work for these certain agencies. The Ross Lake National Recreation Area surrounds Newhalem on all sides, and the North Cascades National Park boundary is approximately one mile to the north and south of the town. (Wikipedia)

This is motif#6 : in this case I've first designed the pattern, planning the number of knots using the drawer tool on my PC. Then, I've used 2 shuttles obtaining a diameter of about 4,5cm. Thread is DMC 80. I think this method is reasonably effective, so I'll use it again.
The guy on the number 6 bus is alone with his thoughts. It is cold and wet outside and damp and steamy inside, that much is obvious, but his thoughts are his own.
