It was my dream to float on the dead sea. I read about it from the childhood being the lowest ground in earth with altitude of -413 meters. However; the dead sea is getting dried up and it is not easy to find a salt band. After some research around I did manage to get some salt settlement that could be used as a foreground. I was lucky to have some cloud on the sky. Amazing feeling to stand there and enjoy being there. Off course this being middle of no where I was the only one to enjoy the spectacle of nature. Yet another out of the earth location in Jordon and yet another good day for enjoying photography.

At the core of Arches National Park in Utah lies an awe-inspiring landscape that epitomizes the unbridled magnificence of Mother Nature. "Pillars of the Desert Sky" captures the essence of this rugged terrain with striking accuracy, revealing a breathtaking scene that invites the viewer to embark on a memorable journey through the American Southwest.

As the golden hour blankets the desert, the sun casts a warm, orange glow on the sandstone formations that command the landscape. These geological wonders, shaped by time and the elements, create an elaborate network of arches, canyons, and gorges that call to the adventurous spirit within us. The majestic red rocks, in hues of light red and light brown, reach for the heavens, their rugged surfaces a testament to the power of natural forces.

Nestled within this expansive wilderness, one can't help but experience a sense of peace and tranquility, as the serene environment provides a haven from the frenetic pace of everyday life. The depiction flawlessly captures the essence of outdoor adventure, underscoring the importance of conservation and respect for the environment.

Regardless of whether you're an experienced hiker, a leisurely tourist, or simply an admirer of nature's grandeur, this image offers a fascinating insight into the heart of the desert and the extraordinary geology that characterizes it. This image is "Pillars of the Desert Sky" 1 of 2.

Lots of work, family responsibility and poor snow condition didn't allow me to do any photography this winter. I do regret that. That is why in the gateway of spring adding an old image from couple of years back to remind me that I shouldn't waste the next winter the same way I wasted this one!

It was always my dream to visit Namibia. The rugged barren land of Namibia has an intensive beauty. That is why this is called as one of the nature photography paradise. It is not only photography. It is rather the whole experience. The drives through the inner roads with spectacular landscapes and desert, the flash of greed and yellow in between the red sand, the presence of the springboks and other animals, the zero pollution skyline; everything is like a movie set. I was super excited all over the trip and it always thrills me even now whenever I look at the images and think about the place.

Now; regarding this image. This is a sun rise shot on the way up to the famous big daddy. Namib-Naukluft National Park is privately owned and entries are restricted to certain amount of time. The park gate opens at Sunrise and closes at Sunset. The dunes are around 60 kms from the gate. That means; there is no chance of watching sunset or sunrise. However if you can stay inside the park gate; you can go our way earlier to catch the first light from above the dunes and stay there long after sunset. There is only one park owned lodge inside. The lodge is very nice, beautiful food, extremely expensive and gets booked well in advance. I had to book it almost one year in advance. But it was all worth the planning.I was there for three nights and every day; I was out for an early 5AM start with a packed breakfast. Ended up staying all day till after sunset inside the park and actually eat the breakfast during lunch time. A bit of rest inside the car during the hot afternoon sun. Then photography again with the low sun from couple of hours before the sunset. After that the dinner was the most waited thing. :)

That day I planned to take the path up to Big Daddy. A 1000 meter high sand dune. The highest in the world. I actually underestimated the size of it. So naturally I didn't have enough time to go up to the top before the sun came up. I realized it late and immediately setup for the orange ball to come up. Even though the place is known to be one of the driest place in Namibia; there is enough dust on the air to give a good color to the early sun light. I had certain composition in mind from above the Big Daddy. But from in between; I couldn't really find such interesting foreground. So I zoomed all the way to 400 MM to grab a big sun image. The first idea was to capture it with the sun just coming up from the dune. But later found this composition more interesting. I was pretty unsure of how it would end up; but seems was not such a bad idea.

I am still a bit in shock at what we were able to witness. My friend and I went on a spur the moment trip to Big Island of Hawaii to document a bit of the Kilauea Volcano action going on right now. The first day, June 16, 2018, we chartered a helicopter with Paradise Helicopters and the second day we did the Lava Boat Tour. It was an incredible experience, to say the least, but also very eye-opening and pretty sad. Seeing the area where over 400 (over 600 now I believe) homes were taken out was pretty crazy. Seeing how fast the lava was flowing out the fissure 8 was even crazier, as seen in this collection. But seeing Kapoho Bay completely filled within days and Leilani Estates practically gone, was definitely the most shocking part. I guess we have to still remember these islands were formed by lava to begin with.

“Since May 3, 2018, Kilauea has erupted more than 110 million cubic meters of lava. This fissure has produced a lava fountain pulsing to heights of 185 to 200 feet (55 to 60 meters).”

These shots was taken on June 16 & 17, 2018.

An amazing place to be. Wadi Rum was one of the highlight of our visit to Jordan. We didn't really think this place to be as good. But it ended up being the best part of the trip and our host Saleh Musa Sweilheen was probably one of the main reason. The humble camp of Saleh is simple and it does help you a lot to put things in perspective.

That day morning; Musa (one of the cousin of Saleh) told us that he will show us his favorite place of the region. So we went near this small hill. First we climbed up through a sand dune and then through a rock to reach the top. It was amazing. It really feels like being a king standing above that fascinating landscape around. The light was good and the cloud formation was perfect. I did take some images from this location. I asked Musa to pose for me at the end of the rock so that I can give a perspective to this vast landscape. It was super windy up there though.

Yet another tranquil image from Maldives. This is the felling in Maldives all around. Crystal clear blue and green water, nice green vegetation, perfectly located water villas, reach coral reefs and marine life. A deep into that water gives unlimited pleasure.

I sported this location on my first day of arrival at the Island. As I normally do; I took a leisure walk around the Island soaking the natural beauty. No camera no mobile; just simple stop and go walking. The main idea was to identify different photo locations and I did find some good ones straight way. This being one of them. However; this is the only good sandy beach of the Island. That is why normally many people come to swim there. So I had to wait a bit to get the place free. The place became empty after some time except the lady in the picture. I took the puncture with intention of cloning her out. However; when I did so; I found the image being a bit dull. The present of a human object made the image more interesting. So finally I decided to leave the image as it is.

Working from home allows workers the choice when to inform colleagues about their pregnancy, avoiding seemingly innocent yet unwelcome behaviors, and missed career opportunities.

Took my new 5Dsr out to see how it handled high iso astro photography. All i can say is WOW. this is an iso 6400 shot (which is the highest native iso from the camera) and it is soooo much better than anything i have gotten from my A7r. the noise (more like grain) has a wonderful film like appearance with very little color noise at all.
