The robin (Erithacus rubecula) is a species of bird in the flycatcher family (Muscicapidae). It inhabits North Africa, Europe and Asia Minor, as well as the Mediterranean islands. Its diet consists mainly of insects, small spiders, worms and snails. Its song begins about an hour before sunrise and can be heard until dusk most of the year. The species is currently considered to be endangered. The robin was once again "Bird of the Year" in Germany in 2021 (after 1992). Because of its often short flight distance, its appearance and its frequency, the robin is a particular favorite. In the legends of Christ, it comforts Jesus at special moments and when he is dying. It is also associated with Christmas as the unofficial national bird of Great Britain. It has played an important role in the discovery and scientific recognition of magnetic sense. Wiki
Das Rotkehlchen (Erithacus rubecula) ist eine Vogelart aus der Familie der Fliegenschnäpper (Muscicapidae). Es besiedelt Nordafrika, Europa und Kleinasien sowie die Mittelmeerinseln. Seine Nahrung besteht vor allem aus Insekten, kleinen Spinnen, Würmern und Schnecken. Sein Gesang beginnt etwa eine Stunde vor Sonnenaufgang und ist bis in die Dämmerung fast das ganze Jahr über zu hören. Die Art gilt derzeit als ungefährdet.
Das Rotkehlchen war in Deutschland (nach 1992) 2021 erneut „Vogel des Jahres“.
Wegen seiner oft geringen Fluchtdistanz, seines Erscheinungsbilds und seiner Häufigkeit ist das Rotkehlchen ein besonderer Sympathieträger. In Christuslegenden steht es Jesus in besonderen Momenten und im Sterben tröstend bei. Zudem wird es als inoffizieller Nationalvogel Großbritanniens mit Weihnachten in Verbindung gebracht. Es hat bei der Entdeckung und wissenschaftlichen Anerkennung des Magnetsinns eine wichtige Rolle gespielt.

Every Sunday morning, in Nosy Be, the shepherds bring their zebus to clean them in the ocean. Some are quite unwilling to go for a swim but some go quite far, I could only see some horns above the water. They use the zebus for some work (pull heavy object) and you combined it with the heat they smell quite a lot, so the bath is quite welcome.

Wer mag bei dieser in herrlichem Licht eingehüllten Silhouette noch an den Spott und Ärger rund um den Bau der Elbphilhamonie (Elphi) in Hamburg denken?
Der Entwurf des Architektenbüros Herzog & de Meuron sah auf dem damals noch bestehenden Baukörper des backsteinernen Kaispeichers A von 1966 einen gläsern verkleideten Aufbau mit markant geschwungener Dachform vor, die auch „gläserne Welle“ genannt wurde. Ziel war ein charakteristisches Merkmal des Baukörpers, um in Hamburg eine unverwechselbare Silhouette zu formen. Ich denke, das Ziel wurde erreicht.

Who would think of the mockery and annoyance surrounding the construction of the Elbphilhamonie (Elphi) in Hamburg with this silhouette?
The design of the architect's office Herzog & de Meuron provided on the then still existing structure of the brick Kaispeicher A of 1966 before a glass-clad structure with a strikingly curved roof shape, which was also called "glass wave". The goal was a characteristic feature of the building to form an unmistakable silhouette in Hamburg. I think the goal has been achieved.

A lovely evening with a nice sunset over a field of oilseed rape between Poyntzpass and Loughbrickland. The flowers just fill the air with a nice sweet smell on a calm evening like this.
