Januar 1858 in Betrieb genommen. The red and white striped lighthouse List Ost stands on the elbow called Sylter peninsula and is after the lighthouse List West the second northernmost beacon of Germany. It was built in 1857 and commissioned on January 1, 1858. Since 1977, the fire of the tower is remotely controlled. Due to its proximity to a steep ledge, the lighthouse List Ost was still in danger of falling in 2003, but since about 2007 the coastal erosion of the steep ledge has come to a standstill.

A little old Black Bear rambling through the woods

Lured by the prospect of low tide and sunset, with some stunning clouds appearing on the horizon, I drove 4 hours to have a play at this stunning location for about 45 minutes...!!

Semi Palm or Piping Plover?....

Obwohl ich schon unzählige Male an diesem Gebäude vorbeigefahren bin, habe ich erst kürzlich diesen Blickwinkel entdeckt und in pastellfarbenem Licht fotografiert.

Although I have passed this building countless times, I have recently discovered this point of view and photographed in this pastel-colored light.
