Former Philadelphia & Western Strafford Car 162, in service on the SEPTA Norristown High Speed Line, 5/6/89. Built by Brill in 1927, the Strafford cars preceded the arrival of the famed "Bullet" cars on the P&W, which came five years later. Amazingly this one was still in daily service in 1989, and in the old PST colors no less.
Today this car is at the Rockhill Trolley Museum in Orbisonia PA. More on the history of these cars can be found here: www.phillytrolley.org/strafford.html

The scientific discovery of astronomy that have studied the behavior of the moon, declares that the atmosphere (which is the moral environment, the evil or divine presence that contains gases and emotional feelings) which surrounds and governs the earthly atmosphere in the Earth, seems to be affecting the appearance of the moon by turning the moon into a bloody red moon.
When the sun rays that comes from the sun light goes through the atmosphere of the Earth, they seem to carry with them the environment of gases, air, carbon dioxide that people breath out, emotions, and the pollution of the earth into the atmosphere of the moon, and when it reaches the moon, then the appearance of the moon turns into blood (red moon).

No lens correction on camera and DPP
So I have been working from home since March 16, and this has given me the opportunity of retaking my hobby, as I work most of the time by the pool which faces the golf course with a little pond, so there is no shortage of animals coming in search of food and water, specially birds. Well, yesterday I was in a call with a co-worker that was well over the 1-hour schedule, when in front of me there is this great blue heron carrying a big fish on its beak. So what do I do? I tell my co-worker "hey, can you hold on for a couple of minutes?', and so I grabbed by camera which was sitting right next to me, and started shooting away. After the heron had swallowed the fish down it's throat, I came back to the call just saying "sorry about that, I'm back".
I think this is a resident family of swans at Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge. They tend to stay together but occasionally get mixed in with other swans.
The sun rises and the sun sets,
and hurries back to where it rises.
The wind blows to the south
and turns to the north;
round and round it goes,
ever returning on its course.
Part of the library in the British Ambassador's residence in Moscow. Not as strong an image as I hoped as I had to correct for lens distortion, having only one lens on me during the visit - no tripod with me either. I may revisit the photo in future, but it suffers from lens distortion correction in Elements.

This great blue heron had just submerged itself in the water, while fishing. It came up empty “beaked” and proceeded to to vigorously shake itself dry, thus its ruffled feathers, by darkening the background post editing I think I brought out its distinctive blue color.
Birds atop the barriers, just upstream of (either Stoke or Gunthorpe) Weir on the River Trent, near Gunthorpe, Nottinghamshire.

Another view of an old graveyard in York, England. The contrast of the green and the pink petals of the flowering tree really attracted me to this scene.

Diffraction City! Two of the main exposures in this blend are at F/29 (295 and 589 seconds). The brightest (mainly for foreground) is 276 sec at F/8, and some shorter exposures at F/8 were blended in to tame the highlights. In sum: fun experimentation with a tripod-mounted camera tethered to a laptop.
I've been away from Flickr, but not idle. I never intended for my absence to stretch out to almost 2 months! I look forward to sharing more of what I've been doing, and catching up with what my Flickr friends have been doing.
