An old scanned in photograph.
A friend lent me his new Triumph Trophy 3 back in the mid-nineties and I liked it. At the time I was running around on an assortment of machines and from memory the centre of gravity seemed a bit high but around that time I was regularly riding a Honda CB650 four, a bit wider and lower slung. This was an early 900 and it heralded a great revival in the Triumph name.
This is the very last version of the old P601 saloon: the 1.1 with a VW Polo engine.
The 1.1 was based on the basic 1964 P601 Limousine.
In 1987 negotiations started between the DDR government and Volkswagen for using their know-how about small and cheap 4-stroke engines.
The first 4-stroke Trabant prototypes were made in 1988. Only two years later full production could start, but in fact much to late. There was no demand for the old-fashioned Trabant anymore, neither on the domestic market nor abroad.
With a mass of unsold vehicles AWZ was forced to quit all activities and the production plant in Zwickau was sold to VW.

No it isn't DC60...29, but NR29 imitating a steam loco, as Pacific National's GE powered 4-stroke NR's tend to do. Today's train has a nice mix of power as it passes through Goulburn NSW, enroute to Sydney and Brisbane.

Mixed goods no. 2321 from Sydney to Albury was considered by enthusiasts at this time to be one of the two Saturday afternoon "picture trains" on the main south line of NSW, because of their varied locomotive lashups. This is, personally, my favourite of the lashups to happen on this train, due to the colourful mix of liveries.

MOSPDA racing division has entered the races in association with the floundering 09 blue Suzuki MotoGP team. To help bring back some prestige to the lackluster 09 Suzuki models MOSPDA have created a team of overpowered Suzuki single cylinder 4-strokes. They output just as much power as big-litre SuperBikes with traction control, but they also require amazing talent to tame; no CPUs or electronics in these classicly inspired race machines. To tame these beasts MOSPDA has recruited some amazing unknown talent in the form of Pygmies. These tiny pilots have been racing two-strokes on their islands through mud and tropical rains. They understand what it takes to push analog machines to the max. Look out Ducati and Yamaha, the Pygmies are coming fast! All the latest CPUs and electronics won't be able to save you this time around!
Heading this team is world renowned motorsports rider Yuki Nakamura. Her team of Pygmies on motorbikes will be hard to overcome in the races of April.
