I wanted to get some creek shots of the girls in their www.scarletstitch.com dresses and it turned into an impromptu session of the 4 of us. I gave my sisters a crash course in manual and handed over my camera. They did a great job! Tam took this one.

The Phare d'Eckmühl, also known as Point Penmarc'h Light or Saint-Pierre Light, is an active lighthouse in Penmarc'h, Finistère department, Brittany, France. At a height of 213 feet (65 m) it is one of the tallest lighthouses in the world. It is located at the port of Saint-Pierre, on Point Penmarc'h, on the southwestern corner of Finistère and the northwestern entrance to the Bay of Biscay. Phare d'Eckmühl during construction in 1895 The tower was built following a decision on April 3, 1882 to modernize the coastal lighthouses and raise the focal height of the Penmarc'h lighthouse, built in 1835, to 60m. However, engineers reported that the old tower could not support such an extension, so in 1890 it was decided to build a new lighthouse, the plans of which were completed on April 3, 1882. Funding came unexpectedly on 9 December 1892 when Adélaïde-Louise Davout, Marquise de Blocqueville, left substantial funds for the new tower in her will, provided the lighthouse was dedicated to the memory of her father, a marshal of the First French Empire Louis Nicolas Davout, who was "Prince d'Eckmühl", a title he won after the Battle of Eckmühl. The tower was inaugurated on October 17, 1897. The centennial of the lighthouse was celebrated in 1997. The tower is open to the public. Reaching the top takes climbing 307 steps, 227 stone steps followed by an iron staircase.
The ancient lighthouse of Penmarch in Brittany France. This lighthouse is part of the general lighting program for the coasts of France, adopted by the Lighthouse Commission on September 9, 1851. During its meeting of February 19, 1830, the commission asked the chief engineer of Bridges and Roads of Finistère to draw up a project for the establishment of a “lenticular eclipse lighthouse” on the tip of Penmarc'h. Its lantern must be raised to 40 meters above the level of the equinoctial high seas. In accordance with this request, the chief engineer Jean-Sébastien Goury carried out a project which was presented to the commission on March 4, 1831. The latter recognized the conformity of the program with regard to the prescribed height and the "general and particular provisions" but calls into question the chosen location. In fact, the engineer Goury planned to install the new lighthouse at the location of the base of the tower begun in year II (to the west of the tower of the Saint-Pierre chapel). This arrangement would have had the disadvantage of hiding the temporary lantern installed on the chapel tower in an “angular space of approximately 35°”. Following this opinion from the commission, the engineer decided to place the new building to the east of the Saint-Pierre chapel. Thus the projected lighthouse will not interfere with either the provisional beam or the semaphore signals installed at the top of it. In March 1831, the cost of this project was then estimated at 86,000 francs (without the lantern and the lenticular device).

I imagine this as some kind of heavy lift machine that doubles as space tug to help dock those SHIPs many thousands of studs long. Its powered using some kind of anti-gravity system borrowed from the Ma.K. universe. Two man crew to distribute the flying and arm manipulation duties.
