A Christmas card I received in the mail from my cousin in South Carolina. On it, an image of a very fashionably attired snowman.

The project is coming to an end. Currently The project is coming to an end. Currently I'm in a small crisis but I will do my best.
Hopefully a lot of you remember JohnniD - he seems to have departed Flickr, but is alive and very productive on Instagram.
Anyway - over on that platform, he suggested we swapped some instructions. I chose his '49 Chevrolet Pickup and then had a fun morning reworking it here and there to get to this. Hope you like it.
28.05.23 - First day of the revised service 48. Now extended beyond Fort Kinnaird to Musselburgh to cover some of the curtailed service 30's route.
49 rests at Birkenside Terminus.
As this year has progressed my interest in photography has changed from mostly landscapes using a wide angle lens to mostly bird photography using a super telephoto lens. Photographing these small quick moving, nervous subjects is very addictive.

i took deep breaths when i could, and sat with my face towards the sun when i had the chance. being prepared for the busy helps, but i certainly prefer the slow and quiet.
This picture is #49 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page www.flickr.com/groups/100strangers/
It has been a very long time since my last stranger photo. I had so much going on in my life that I just had to take a break… anyway, a few weeks back I picked up the camera again and decided to ‘get back on the horse’…
Now I don’t know how many others have taken a break from this but let me tell you, I was back to square one! Those nerves and pure fear of approaching a stranger in the street meant that it took me almost 3 weeks before I finally found the courage to talk to someone!
Anyway enough of that…. I was hanging around near some great graffiti near the river Thames . I knew I wanted to get a photo a great looking woman near the graffiti so hung around for quite some time. I watched a couple of likely prospects come and go but courage failed me.
Finally I spotted Masha, but she was both eating and on the phone! However, for whatever reason she stopped to finish her food and when she went to move on I found the courage and just couldn’t let such a perfect opportunity pass
I had some plans for asking her to pose a little leaning on the wall but when it came to it I was happy just to get the photos I got. She turned out to be a lovely person (just why was I worrying so much?) form Croatia. But I will admit that I didn’t find out much more than that. Her name is more correctly Maša (pronounced marsha) but she assured me that most of her friends used Masha as it was easier.
Thanks Masha for being so lovely, I hope you like the photos.
I really like this. It reminds me a bit of Evan Walsh's work, one of my favorite photographers :)
Thanks to my brother William for modeling. Might as well advertize his music while I'm at it, you can stream and download for free here he's really good!

Gracias por pasar, ver y comentar, he estado ausente unos días.
Equipo: Canon eos 30D y 17 mm (27 equivalente), polarizador y 2 filtros Singh Ray degradados +3, inverso y suave
Week 49 / 52. Due to a lockdown for the near future, I shot this tabletop image using some water drops & some Crayons from the dollar store. The lighting is from a single Alien Bees B400 with a snoot mounted on it directly opposite the camera @ about 45 degrees.
I decided to rework this image (flic.kr/p/oTURPq) from last August because I was not entirely happy with it.
