1949 International pickup truck. Found this in a body shop waiting to be restored. Thought the grill really made a design statement for that long ago.

summing up summer
I went out today with no real idea in mind, I have been keeping away from the golf course because of my most recent case of poison ivy. It's actually finally starting to settle down again, although a few days ago I was really miserable. I know this is what I get for not being cautious, but sometimes a photo is worth a few scars (my feet photo uploaded alongside this really supports that idea). So I went out to the golf course and when I came home I immediately showered and scrubbed my skin just in case. I want to keep doing what I am doing, I don't want to rule out a location because of some shrubbery, so I will make the compromise and be a little cautious this time. I guess getting poison ivy twice in a row should be good enough to make me want to be a little smart about my skin haha
I also broke out my 28 1.8, it's been a while since I have played with it and I always forget how wonderful it is. The depth of field is so beautiful and the wide angle allows for amazing perspectives. I would recommend this lens to anyone, really.
I hope everyone has been well, I haven't put a real caption on a 365 in a few days because I have been so busy but thanks for tuning in even when it seems like I am tuning out

As my son stood at the alter, waiting for his bride to walk down the aisle to him, I looked over and saw this wonderful light streaming through the windows. I thought of my son's life, from newborn to manhood, and watched as he became a husband to his best friend. It was such a happy time and I was filled with a mother's pride!
I did a 5 mile run/walk around my little town. Every once in a while I have to go by the local cemetery, to make sure I’m not in there. Another day to appreciate everything I have in my life.
THE LACKEN "GAZEBO"
Forming a double stone arch the Gazebo is one of the most curious & conspicuous landmarks in County Mayo.
While the origins of the structure remains a mystery, it was probably built int he eighteenth century either by Sir Roger Palmer or Sir John Palmer and may have Masonic connections.
One local tradition claims that it was erected to commemorate Moira Browne, the ' saintly ' wife of Sir John Browne a feared land agent in 1798.

Más fotos para mi nueva carpeta de "Autorretratos en la Naturaleza", de la que algún día me gustaría extraer una exposición.
En realidad, esa mañana fué un anodino amanecer de verano en el Cabo de Gata, hace 3 veranos. Pero disfrutando al máximo de todo lo que el Cabo te ofrece, viviendo el presente... nada más.
NOTA IMPORTANTE:
El uso de los filtros se nota mucho en las rocas más oscuras, total usé 2 filtros! pero me permitieron jugar y no quemar el sol y sus alrededores en exceso, para mostraros esta imagen. En cuanto a composición, se que hay rocas que se solapan y otras que se cortan por los márgenes, pero, aunque suelo cuidar muchísimo los encuadres, me doy cuenta de que a veces me dejo llevar por la magia, y si logro transmitirlo en la imagen, esa magia, todo lo demás da igual, he conseguido lo que quería, lo que siempre quiero.
Gracias por pasar, ver y comentar, he estado ausente unos días.

Species 49 in the lockdown bird challenge is the Starling, or to be more precise, their chicks. I had not posted a Starling, probably through oversights they are pretty common. However, yesterday whilst out walking I was attracted by a cacophony of sound on the edge of a field and there were literally 40 or so Starling Chicks gathered in a large group all being waited on by their parents. I managed to catch these two waiting to be fed!
