This bus was new to Lothian buses a 449 in 2016.
Seen here on Easter Road.
During the lockdown, Lothian Buses were running limited services with some not running. All routes were run out of central garage, Livingston and Musselburgh depots only, using madder buses which have screens to protect the driver from attacks, which were at the time used to protect the drivers and public from contamination. Buses were drafted in from all depots and used for 2 weeks before deep cleaning, meaning unusual workings were seen.
Leith Walk was closed northbound due to tram works construction.
Services 7, 14, 16, 22, 25 and 49 towards Leith were diverted via London Road and Easter Road. Citybound journeys continued to serve their normal route up Leith Walk.
Service 11 towards Ocean Terminal was diverted via Annandale Street, Bellevue Road, McDonald Road and Broughton Road. Citybound journeys continued to serve their normal route on Pilrig Street and Leith Walk.
Damn you, 449! I narrowly missed catching this bus the day after I took this, in the same location, which by means of the butterfly effect caused the following hour of my life to be somewhat chaotic.

Besugo entrando por la vía 2 de la estación venteña, recién incorporado de nuevo a la Imperial, para seguir su trayecto hasta Madrid. El primero de la tarde. Llegó en hora pero estuvo parado durante más de 15 minutos para dar paso primeramente al Alvia de Madrid al País Vasco (con doble de 120), y después al que hacía el recorrido entre Gijón y Castellón de la Plana (con 130 en simple, como es habitual), y cogió un importante retraso.

El 449 era un DAF SB220 amb carrosseria Castrosua CS40 adquirit de segona mà a la EMT de Madrid, a on tenia la calca 2273.

Am 25.05.22 passiert die Lineas 186 449 die Kurve am Dormagener Chempark mit ihrem Richtung Neuss fahrenden BASF Chemiezug.
Subo más fotos de septiembre, cuando estuve en Pinto, en esta ocasión un 449 proveniente del sur con destino Madrid, cuando fui a Pinto me había comprado recientemente la cámara, además de que había acabado de empezar con la fotografía ferroviaria, de ahí que no sea una foto muy allá.
After getting delayed for about a half hour by a disabled freight on the single track west of Worcester Amtrak train 449 is finally on the move. Q427 was having GPS and cab signal issues and was on the phone with the CSX mechanical desk trying to resolve them. They were finally told to limp their train to Charlton and clear up on the siding west of CP57 to continue working on their issue so Amtrak could get on the move. With the freight tucked into the siding out of sight around the corner the Boston section of the Lakeshore Limited is on its way to Albany.
