Oh happy day! Last year was the first year I became a member of Seed Savers and when I received the yearbook it blew me away. This year I've been waiting and waiting and here it is! I hope to choose some unusual things to grow since I get all the produce I need from cooking at the farm. My goal is to be listed in the yearbook myself.
Day 41: Boys are back doing their version of the Man's hug or it could be something else lol hahahahahahaha.........or Danbo just want to choke Wall-E..........

Shed 41 is known as the "Big Hole" on Donner pass. This 10,325 foot tunnel is the longest tunnel along the line and despite being two tracks at the West end, only one train at a time can go between here and Shed 47.
Today, a BNSF train is approaching the Big Hole going Eastbound, today they're looking at an advance approach.

This picture can be found in the 2009-2010 Forest Park Yearbook. In front of it is one of the 2010 IC CEs, which was actually brand new at the time this photo was taken!

Arriving for my train 30 mins early I sat outside Kings Cross in the sunshine watching the world go by. Sindy with her friend was doing the same. I have to thank Sindy's friend for persuading Sindy to take part in the project. They were both from Estonia on a trip to London and clearly enjoying the good weather.
If you are reading this Sindy, thanks for letting me take your portrait! Please get in touch if you want a copy or are not happy with the result and would prefer me to remove it from Flickr.

After spending almost the entire week in bed/on the couch/having a hot bath while I was battling the worst cold I have had in a decade I made the wonderful decision of drugging myself up enough to be able to have nurse dumbfunk drive us up and visit the Rons at Ronflats on the weekend.
Since I felt better the later the day got I decided to switch from hot ginger with lemon and honey to cold gin with lemon and tonic and celebrated my miraculous comeback with a seafood platter and early potatoes at this nice pub.
I continued to feel a bit better by Sunday and after a delicious chilli-egg-muffin for breakfast I could not have been more happy but to spend that day outside in wonderful warm and sunny weather being amazed by the beauty of the Peak District. And the fresh rhubarb crumble for lunch (still warm!).
Ronflats = approved.
