While astronauts Neil A. Armstrong, commander, and Edwin E. Over 40 years ago.... oh, that makes me feel old. 14 Oct 1978 at Euston, and having hauled the Lancastrian railtour out and back from London, 40 106 has been released from the blocks at the London terminus, and on a cold Autumn evening, waits for the signal to proceed.
Week 40, September 29 - October 5:
OH MY GOD, I am so excited! Shot their wedding on Saturday and it was incredibly amazing. I am so happy with how the pictures turned out (well, haven't edited all of them yet but so far so good) and I can't wait for them to see the results. I actually like some of the other images more than this (I do really love it, don't get me wrong!), but I wanted to give them some privacy and not share a super duper lovey-dovey one, which I think is understandable. Ah, I am just so happy right now. So happy for them, so happy I got to spend the day with them and got do what I love (even though I was quite exhausted after running around taking pictures for 18 hours), so happy, so happy. I would love to do this so much more often. I should really get into taking pictures of other people again. Wanna hang out? Wanna have your picture taken?

9th November 1985 saw the first ever visit of a class 40 to Penzance when the doyen of the class D200 worked the Penzance Fryer railtour. The loco had been fully restored to BR green livery a few weeks beforehand and was now the last of the class in passenger service. It is shown resting at the buffers under the roof at Penzance shortly after arrival.
