CAMP COURTNEY, OKINAWA, Japan-Brig. Gen. Craig Q. Timberlake reactivates 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade during a ceremony here Dec. 13. The MEB provides supported combat commanders with a scalable warfighting capability across the range of military operations. The Okinawa-based MEB is responsible for providing this capability throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Instructors assigned to the 3rd Brigade, 94th Training Division train Soldiers to rig and recover wheeled vehicles during a two-week course held at Regional Training Site-Maintenance, Fort Hood, Texas. Once completed, Soldiers will be assigned an additional skill identifier, an identification that highlights additional skills, training, and qualification a soldier has in addition to a military occupation specialty.
