OCCURRENCE – Gypsum is an evaporite. It forms in evaporating freshwater and marine basins. It is often associated with other evaporites: glauberite, anhydrite, halite)
Just some of the USES are:
* Sheetrock (Gypboard, Drywall) In fact, because of the water in gypsum, it will act to slow down the progress of fire.
* Additive in Portland Cement to control drying time
* Fertilizer
* Soil conditioner There are various functions, but in the Arizona desert it is used to break up caliche. Gypsum crystals form quickly in wet soil, and that acts to break up the crusty caliche.
* Sculpture (alabaster)
* Plaster of Paris
* Medical: dental molds, plaster casts
* Food Industry: beer brewing, dough conditioner.....
We cannot include every detail about the mineral, so here is a Wikipedia link to get you started on exploration for Gypsum: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gypsum

"Its Cold Outside" ... just like the caption says. Too damn cold to be outside, but with cabin fever in full effect you gotta get out.. Ive always found the movements and chaos of the view from my window to be quite soothing.. At nights the colors glow with moving cars and flashing lights.. Something about seeing all that rush in complete silence that helps you clear your mind and think straight... While i am one to always say to go out and expirience life, when its this cold you can only try to look out your window. Have fun seeing the hustle and bustle of the world from your warm quiet indoor heaven... dont forget to follow my journey at twitter.com/DSTYLEZSTV
