Visiting my home town of Chester from New Zealand, Stranger #38 is a natural beauty and a joy to photograph.
She has one of those faces that stand out from the crowd and I was crossing my fingers as she came towards me ...hoping that she would accept my request to be a part of my project. Obviously she did and so did her friend Stranger #39.
I wish I could have spent more time photographing her.

Again, I am sorry for not uploading lately. I am hoping to start a few projects soon!
On the weekend myself, Savannah and Lesley went to meet the beautiful Becky.
Sav and Lesley had been pen pals with Becky for quite a while, and I had been in contact with her via instagram.
Becky is such a beautiful person and it was such a pleasure to meet her and spend time with her.

Today is my birthday. So I thought I would do a birthday picture for my 52. 29 years old today...gonna start enjoying my last year as a twenty year old tonight :o)
Remnant of the John F. Fitzgerald Expressway after it was replaced by the "Central Artery / Tunnel Project" aka "The Big Dig".
The plaque on the end reads:
"The elevated John F. Fitzgerald Expressway was one of the Commonwealth's most ambitious and controversial urban redevelopment projects. Built by the Massachusetts Department of Public Works between 1951 and 1959. Its downtown Boston route stretched from Dewey Square to North Station and allowed the growing crowds of suburban commuters to bypass the city's narrow streets. Twenty thousand citizens were displaced and hundreds of buildings were demolished to build the six-lane skyway.
Nevertheless, planners hoped that it would alleviate congestion and simplify interurban travel. Over the next 31 years, the Expressway's daily capacity grew from approximately 75,000 vehicles in 1959 to nearly 200,000 vehicles in 1990. Pollution and traffic jams became a regular part of the city's skyline, while the Waterfront and North End languished in the shadow, grease, and grime of Boston's "other Green Monster". Between 1990 and 2007, the Central Artery/Tunnel Project redirected I-93 into a modern network of downtown tunnels. It also demolished the dilapidated Fitzgerald Expressway, restored the city's surface roads, and created the Rose Kennedy Greenway.
This structural column, known as "Bent 38", still rests on its original foundations and is the only piece of the elevated highway that was left undisturbed by construction. It remains as a memorial to the Expressway and to the impact that the health of our transportation systems have upon the life of our community. It also symbolizes the labor of scores of men and women who work to improve our infrastructure, every day."
Union Pacific Railroad U50 38 at Council Bluffs, Iowa on June 13, 1965, Kodachrome by Lou Schmitz, Chuck Zeiler collection. Built July 1964 ( c/n 35098 ), placed in service July 27, 1964, retired September 1973 and traded to GE, the U50 was two U25B's on a common frame, utilizing span bolsters and trucks from retired gas-turbine locomotives. To reduce weight, aluminum wiring was used, which deteriorated in 10 years and required replacement. The railroad chose to trade the locomotives for newer power. The triangular shaped items on the running board, located almost over the center of each span bolster, were the sandboxes. I’m not aware of the actual design challenges at GE that resulted in locating the sandboxes in these locations, but there was concern about the ingestion of sand and sand dust into the diesel, both at the fill time and the actual use of sand for traction. The Southern Pacific purchased three U50 locomotives, and they lasted a bit longer.
