Edited NASA image of an X-38 flying over the clouds. See caption for lots of good information.
Original caption: The X-38, a research vehicle built to help develop technology for an emergency Crew Return Vehicle (CRV), descends under its steerable parachute during a July 1999 test flight at the Dryden Flight Research Center, Edwards, California. It was the fourth free flight of the test vehicles in the X-38 program, and the second free flight test of Vehicle 132 or Ship 2. The goal of this flight was to release the vehicle from a higher altitude (31,500 feet) and to fly the vehicle longer (31 seconds) than any previous X-38 vehicle had yet flown. The project team also conducted aerodynamic verification maneuvers and checked improvements made to the drogue parachute. The X-38 Crew Return Vehicle (CRV) research project is designed to develop the technology for a prototype emergency crew return vehicle, or lifeboat, for the International Space Station. The project is also intended to develop a crew return vehicle design that could be modified for other uses, such as a joint U.S. and international human spacecraft that could be launched on the French Ariane-5 Booster. The X-38 project is using available technology and off-the- shelf equipment to significantly decrease development costs.
Ecco la traduzione in inglese fatta con Google Translation xD
I love to read. All unless they are boring books.
I read when I was small, the first real book I read was The Little Prince.
The Little Prince teaches many things, including the value of affects.
At 7 years I started reading Harry Potter , and I put on the list because I remember when I was reading Harry Potter I completely lost (:
The third book in the list is Little Women , a beautiful book that a child will have read at least a dozen times. Even with this book I lose, because I liked the idea of having so many sisters xD
Heart , by Edmondo de Amicis, is a wonderful book and a child (even still) I consider a model of another era, better than ours.
The Wizard of Oz I liked .. And I put on the list to "symbolize" other books I read in that period, as the Children of the Sixth Moon and others ..
The Diary of Anne Frank I do not need to say why I liked it, is a unique and touching story of a girl deep and very intelligent.
Hunt Sisters is great, it is an epistolary novel, that is made up of letters or e-mail that sends the protagonist. It 'very deep and self-deprecating.
The Queen's House is really ironic, that's why I like it, like all books by Sophie Kinsella, my favorite writer because his humor is capable of doing great (:
( Invisible Cities ). I put in brackets because it is not mine and I have not read it yet. I put it in the list to "symbolize" the other three masterpieces by Italo Calvino, my favorite writer. The other three stories are collected in "our ancestors", the book I like best among the three is "The Cloven Viscount", because it teaches many things without forgetting to have fun (:
Cell , by Stephen King, I read recently and I must say that I liked, even though such books I had never read. It 'a bit' unsettling anyway xD
Flox smiles in Autumn is one of the last books I read, I liked it because it made me remember that being a child is wonderful, as well as friendship. (:

38/365: Not too many adults get valentines on Valentine's Day. I feel lucky that I have so many little valentines in my life.
This is what I did today.. truth be told this was yesterday before my camera's batteries died. I hate not having my camera ready to shoot. This is the last night in Northern Colorado and I am headed back tomorrow so I will be able to charge my batteries and catch up on all that I missed this weekend!

My first roll of Lomography's Lomochrome Purple camera film. Exposed as ISO 200. Konica C35v.
Reasby, Lincolnshire, UK. 24 July 2018.
Bit sad to say goodbye to summer, flip flops and strappy tops ... but at the same time ... lovely for Grace to start "big" school for the first time and to look forward to the hot chocolate, the nights closing in, fires, pumpkins and getting bundled up once more!!
2012 is the 100th anniversary of bus route 38, and on Sunday 17th June Arriva marked the occasion by running three Routemasters from its Heritage Fleet as 'extras'. These were also joined by an RTL and RTW from the London Bus Company. No fares were charged on these buses, but passengers were invited to make a donation to Maggie's Cancer Charity. A vintage K-type bus dating from 1921 also traversed the route, carrying invited guests. As three of the 'New Bus 4 London' were also operating, the route attracted a lot of attention.
Open-top RMC1464 from the Arriva Heritage Fleet is seen at Islington Angel on its way to Victoria. When new this vehicle was allocated to Green Line coach work, and the platform door was part of the specification.

My 8G flashdrive, named Jake, is the source of much happiness. It brings me music, movies, tv shows, books, photos, etc. I hate putting this out in the universe, but I have done a fantastic job of keeping up with such a small device that is used as frequently as it is. Watch me lose it tomorrow....
Today has been a long day. I updated viPhone last night around midnight, thinking it shouldn't take THAT long. By 2:30 AM, I gave up and went to sleep. I transferred my apps from the phone to iTunes, but I didn't think to back it up. As it updated, it said that it was backing up the phone as well. I didn't sync it because I don't really understand any of the terminology I just used. I've really tried to understand iTunes, but I just DON'T GET IT. I woke up this morning and the computer had gone to sleep as well and I guess that affected the update because everything was ERASED. GONE. GOOD BYE!
I planned to wake up around 9 AM because I told Anh I would make lunch for us to take to the movies (hah!!) but I woke up closer to 10 AM. Thong called to try to help me figure out that stuff but I didn't have time because I had to run to the store to pick up avocados because Anh mentioned she's been really into avocados lately so I wanted to make her something I knew she would enjoy. She was supposed to be at my house at 11 AM but she was running late, which was a good thing. I knew I didn't have time to make chicken salad so I just bought some. I hate that. I really wanted to make it from scratch. I learned this dish from Carrie's bridal shower - cut the avocados in half and remove the pit. Spread chicken salad in the pit and on top of the avocado. Sprinkle with diced tomatoes. So simple, but it feels so gourmet!! I also made us Greek yogurt with granola and blueberries. I packed it in a messenger bag and snuck it into the movie theater! She finally finished all six seasons of SATC so we went to see SATC2. Then she wanted to shop for "fun and flirty" dresses so we went shopping. Then I hit the cardio hard like Jillian Michaels says you should and yoga was the hardest class I've taken by far. I don't think I'm ready for P90X. Then I ate dinner and went over to Thong and Tam's house, with my trusty 8G flashdrive, so I could transfer the Wicked soundtrack and hopefully learn it all by 8 PM tomorrow. Luckily, they live about 6 minutes from me because on my way home, I realized I hadn't done my 365 for the day and it was 11:45 PM. I tried to think of something interesting but the only thing that came to mind was the flashdrive in my hand, so there you have it.

Been off work poorly today. I guess my chocolate queasiness wasn't happy to just make me feel ill for a few hours - it decided it would play havoc for a day! I swear I can still smell Cadburys - yuk!!
Anyway I figured I would do my shot early so that I can just veg and let the choco-sickness abate itself!
I've actually dumped all the bars we were given from the visit to Cadburys world on my brother's bed - almost with disgust at how bad it's been to me - lol!
