Two NASA T-38 jet trainer aircraft fly over the Space Shuttle Endeavour on Pad 39-B at the Kennedy Space Center. After Atlantis launched from Pad A (out of frame), Endeavour was moved from Pad B to Pad A to support the STS-127 mission. At the time, Endeavour was being prepared as a backup vehicle for Atlantis, and would have been designated STS-400 if in the unlikely event it had been needed for a rescue flight. The two pictured aircraft were piloted by Jack Nickel (in jet with tail number 62, top) and Charles Justiz (in jet with tail number 24).

A sunny late afternoon and early evening in Paris. A walk from the 5ème arrondissement back towards Paris Gare du Nord...
Location: On the Pont de la Tournelle with on the background left the Quai de Béthune and at the right the Quai de la Tournelle.
Coordinates: 48°51'3" N 2°21'21" E
Reason: Just a walk on my 679th overnight in Paris, starting at the Rue Claude Bernard and walking slowly back to Gare du Nord. One hour of sunshine in between a cloudy day in Paris.
Pont de la Tournelle: Pont de la Tournelle is an arch bridge spanning the river Seine in Paris. It has a length of 122 meters and a width of 23 meters. The current bridge is opened in 1928. The next bridge upstream is Pont de Sully and the next bridges downstream are Pont Saint-Louis and Pont de l'Archevêché.
The Pont de la Tournelle was intentionally built lacking symmetry, in order to emphasize the shapeless landscape in the part of the Seine that it bestrides. Consisting of a grand central arch that links the riverbanks via two smaller arches, one on each side, it's decorated on the Eastern bank with a pylon built on the left pier's cutwater, and a statue of Saint Geneviève, the patron saint of Paris, atop of the pylon, designed by Polish-French monumental sculptor Paul Landowski.
The term "Tournelle" traces its origin to a square turret (French: tourelle) constructed at the end of the 12th Century on the fortress of Phillipe Auguste.

For this week's #SiPgoes52, I'm going with one of my favorite #LEGOElves minidoll photo that also reminds me of how senses are all stimulated when spending time in the Nordic wilderness.

An image showing the kitchen, the desk area, the mudroom and distant views of the family room. Shot during an overcast, stormy fall day. Popped a flash off the ceiling (AD200 at 1/8th power) just to the left of the dishwasher, but blended all ambient frames for the majority of this. Missed the child safety latch on the cabinet under the sink! Back to PS...
