Motherewell allocated 37322 'Imperial' (37049) at its home depot on 18/04/87. Motherwell had a small fleet of unrefurbished 37/0's dedicated to British Steel traffic and renumbered 37310-326.
Renumbered 37343 in 1994, withdrawn 02/95 and cut 12/03.
Class 37 37044 runs light engine out of Liverpool street station. I spent some time photographing here that day . seeing 37022 37023 37035 37049 37050 37051 37088 37089 37090 37097 37099 37103 37109 37116 47003 47004 47006 47016 47130 47180. 02/08/1980.

Carlisle on the 27th of December 1991 and 47479, 37095 and 37049 are preparing to work the return Regional Railways Settle and Carlisle special to Leeds. The outbound working was hauled by 47479, 37071 and 37083 and a photo follows.
47479 was new to Landore as D1612 in August 1964 and withdrawn and cut up in 1993. 37095 was new to Gateshead in March 1963 as D6795 and withdrawn in 1999. 37049 was new to Darnhall as D6749 in August 1962, had also been 37322 and became 37343, although withdrawn in 1995 it was not cut up until 2003 at Toton by Harry Needle.

1 Jul 1985 BR English Electric Class 37 Co-Co 37049 (1962 Vulcan Foundry) + 97250 Ethel heating unit at Fort William Junction with train 1S07 the 21:00 sleeper from London Euston.
This loco was stored in Feb 1995 and scrapped in Dec 2003.

After overhaul and repaint, 37049 looks smart as it stands outside one of the workshops at Doncaster Works on 25th April 1982
Three more new E200s just arrived at Main Road Northampton..Left to right 37049/050/051 which brings the total here to 8 or 9..the other new ones have been moved to their old premises in Rothersthorpe Ave. which leads me to think they may not enter service until January...should be 14 arrived by the end of the year..Dec 20 2013.
