37049 'Imperial' between Shireoaks and Brancliffe Junction

This was taken when i was walking to Brancliffe signalbox to get photos and measurements of the box as i was asked to build a model of the box as a retirement present for the signalman who worked there, it was when i was working at Kiveton Park signalbox so it has to be between 1991 & 1995

37049 is one of many E200s Northampton purchased at the end of 2013. Many of them are intended and some branded for the routes they took over when First sold their Northampton operation. One of them comes out to Leicester for the long Milton Keynes run.

On the way home I was mightily impressed by the lengthy queue boarding this First West Yorkshire Volvo B7TL. It starts at the far end of the shelter, proceeds all the way though the really quite lengthy bus shelter and emerges adjacent to the door of the bus where people are boarding. The impressive Town Hall dominates the scene. The bicycle by the shelter is the photographer's.
