This little guy was poking out of the dirt this morning, so had to capture it. Hopefully it will grow into a fantastic tomato plant!
I've done several panoramas from this spot, but this time I decided to go a little crazy with the HDR effect in Lightroom. I love the color extremes with the pink on the left and the gold on the right. I didn't have my tripod this time so I had to try to hold the camera steady. That's why the power lines on the right don't line up correctly. This is a composite of seven images.
Just above the horizon you can see a light pink band known as the Belt of Venus. The atmosphere is reflecting light from the setting sun, and you can see it anywhere with a clear view of the horizon.

Got this one with just a couple minutes to spare. I used the spotlighting under my cabinets again, this time blurring out highlights and going for a more abstract look with it. It's getting tougher to make time to make good photos during my day.

One of my favorite things to photograph is the sky, especially with clouds and interesting sunlight like this.
Confused as to why I have a Christmas related photo of the day? Basically while I was out at lunch today I came across this Christmas Boofle on sale in Clinton Cards. He was there, all on his own trying to be sold off since Christmas has passed. I really couldn’t resist buying him especially as I knew it would cheer up my fiancée who has been home sick. It did the job as she loved him!
I love old books. I love their look, their smell, their feel. These little volumes are some of the ones on our bookshelf.
Not only was this an awesome sky, but you can also see a hawk being chased by two crows. The hawk looked largely unconcerned by their efforts.

Oak woods between Great Cambourne and Lower Cambourne. The plan was for a group walk, but it rained so the walk was cancelled. I managed a short walk in the country park.

Cleaned my climbing rope today, thought the patterns it made while drying was kind of cool. Kinda wish the light had been a bit more dynamic though.
Blue-tit.
Now, is it at all possible that this could be a fledgling at this time of the year? I have heard a kerfuffle in the bushes for a few weeks now every time I go in the garden. This morning, there seemed to be an adult bird and several of these smaller ones in the tree. Surely it is too late for this though?
