Lazy Sundays don't get much better. Jen was a good sport and let me pose her for just a minute in the evening sunlight to get a real nice portrait of her.
366 Project 2012 --- 5/366 --- January 5.
Not to sound like a shill or nothin', but I'm excited that my glif has arrived. This is my third attempt at getting a decent tripod attachment for my iPhone, and I think this one is the winner. Can't wait to try this out!
The post-it box. I sometimes amaze myself with the amount of paper I buy. Each type for a different purpose.
La caja de post its. A veces me alucina la cantidad de papel que soy capaz de comprar. Cada uno para una función distinta.

Was making a new recipe tonight with JJ, grilled veggie naan pizzas. They came out amazing, except for the burned naan on the underside. Oops.
Went out for some Friday night drinks last night with a friend and I thought the lamp on our table made an interesting subject for the photo of the day. I had my point and shoot camera with me but liked the idea of taking a photo of a photo being taken so used my iPhone 4s to capture this image.
A real quickie - some pretty grasses spotted at the rowing club tonight - the river was row-able at long last - it's been too high and fast for the youngsters to row on for weeks now.

A menudo tenemos una percepción distorsionada de la realidad. Por suerte, sólo tenemos que mirar en otra dirección para verlo todo más claro.

We all took a little walk through the woods today to get some fresh air; along the way we saw some neat stuff, and I spotted this old log full of holes from insects. I thought it looked inrteresting enough to be my shot today!
Today's highlights:
*took the studebaker on her longest drive yet on the one year anniversary of Grant buying it.
*had our ice cream social wedding reception/going away party
*got a surprise visit from my sister in law and her boyfriend
*Had some lovely photos taken of us.
Distant lightning illuminates the clouds just the to left of the mountain. I didn't see the actual lightning, just the work it did on the clouds. I didn't have a tripod so I placed the camera on the top of a fence and held it as steady as I could. Not bad for a little improvisation.
I was playing around with some things while I was waiting for Jenny at speech, and I really liked this self portrait. A lot better than yesterday, for sure. :)
Our 2-yr old German Shepherd, Hera. <3 She kept begging to go out today! (I love the snow on her nose!)

What they don't tell you in the book is how much poop the very hungry caterpillar would have done. It's HEAPS. Just saying. 95 of #366

This little guy was poking out of the dirt this morning, so had to capture it. Hopefully it will grow into a fantastic tomato plant!
I've done several panoramas from this spot, but this time I decided to go a little crazy with the HDR effect in Lightroom. I love the color extremes with the pink on the left and the gold on the right. I didn't have my tripod this time so I had to try to hold the camera steady. That's why the power lines on the right don't line up correctly. This is a composite of seven images.
Just above the horizon you can see a light pink band known as the Belt of Venus. The atmosphere is reflecting light from the setting sun, and you can see it anywhere with a clear view of the horizon.
Finally got a chance to watch Murray play on the big screen this afternoon, it wasn't as busy as Henman Hill but was still good to hear people cheering him on. Looking forward to the semi-final now.
Tomorrow will be my last picture in the project which seems very strange but at least I won't be filling up your timeline any more!
