This "little" guy has been following me around everywhere since I got home on Friday. Moose is more like a dog than a cat, which means he likes to have his family around. The poor thing was all by his lonesome for a few days last week, so he's making up for it in spades by trying to get lots of pats and love the last few days. Naturally, I'm gladly giving them.

P.S. It was NOT easy to get this pic. Balancing the camera and the cat and getting the photo to be clear was a challenge. I probably took at least 30-50 pictures. In hindsight, I should have set up the tripod and used the remote. Oh well...all that matters is I got the shot :)

Allergies have been bad the past couple of days, and I've also been hit with headaches. It has so far resulted in a very cranky me.

Josh and I stayed home, sick, today. We spent most of the day napping together, along with Penguin (or "Mama," as Josh calls it). Unfortunately, this looks very grainy because it was dark in the room -- looked a lot better on my phone. :)

We're doing baby-led weaning, which means that if he asks to nurse, we nurse, and if he doesn't, I don't offer. He asks at least 2 times a day, so I think our nursing relationship will keep going for a while. I hope so at least. My "goal" was 18 months, but I'll keep doing it as long as he wants. Apparently my husband doesn't like that idea but, well, tough titty.

Today, we visited Niagara's wine country and the cute little village of Niagara-on-the-Lake. This region is responsible for 80% of the world's ice wine. Ice wine is a sweet dessert wine that is somewhat unique because of how it's made. They basically wait to harvest the grapes until they are fully frozen (i.e. the temperature must be -12C - -8C for 3 consecutive days). We had the opportunity to try several of these as well as several local table wines. Some will definitely be making their way home with us because they were delicious and unique.

So, in addition to the whole corn free, dairy free, and gluten free thing, I also have a sensitivity to eggs. You can use ground flax seed mixed with water as an egg substitute, but it's not the best for everything. Bring on the "Egg Replacer," which I found at the health food store today. The nice lady helping me told me she couldn't tell any difference between this and real eggs with anything she's baked. I'll report back after I've tried it. Plus, who doesn't love the 70s style box that this stuff comes in? :) Here's hoping it isn't actually FROM the 70s! :P

Catskill NY – Ferns

Made our day down to the Catskill mountains campground today. We were using this spot mostly as a place to store the camper while we went to NYC. Nice spot right on a creek, lots of ferns around the area made a nice repetitive image. 213

Of course the day after receiving the t-shirt and sonic screwdriver from my friends Kevin and Stephen, I had to wear the shirt and test the sonic screwdriver to make sure it worked...I almost blew up the camera with it trying to take this shot.
