New year, and time to re-focus...these are, of course, my gym shoes. It's been a few months since I've been able to meet with my trainer because of all of the work travel, but I finally did today. And, you know what? I really have missed it! She pushes me, but she does it in such a positive way. Really, she coaches me because she helps me work through times when it's more difficult, and best of all, she's reasonable. She comes up with creative ways for me to stay active, even with my crazy schedule. Today was no exception....she gave me a list of excercises to do, where I just use my own body weight instead of free weights or machines. That sure does make it easy to do in a hotel room or really anywhere. I really need to take some more time this year to just focus on myself and my health and less on work. My goal is to get a workout in a few times a week...whatever I can do, the best I can do. I'm certainly worth that little 1/2 hr-45 min of time.
24 of 365 "Reflections" Tonight I went over to Colleens house for some trashy tv/picture taking girl time
Look what arrived in the mail today! Some gorgeous handspun yarn from my friend Jana!!! We are doing a handspun yarn exchange, and I couldn't be happier with this. Plus, since she's from Canada, she sent some Ruffles All Dressed chips (a slight cheat on my diet, but I think I'll at least have a few) :) Thanks, Jana!! Best. Mail. Day!!!
Drones are REAL!!!
And, we have one flying in our neighborhood.
And...it lives at our house :) I got this Parrot AR Drone quadricopter for William for Christmas a couple years ago. It's flown with an iPad, and it does indeed have an on-board camera, so you can record what it's "seeing." William loves this thing, and I have to admit, it is tons of fun and definitely a conversation-starter with our neighbors.
Got the inspiration for this one from today's Flickr blog (http://blog.flickr.net/en/2011/02/07/one-object-365-days/), although I'll only be photographing this object today. Thanks, Josh, for letting Mama borrow your toys again.
