Fr. George is the newest member of the clergy at the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Portlaoise Parish.
Originally from Ghana, George was ordained just over two years ago. Always with a smile on his face, and a very popular priest with the parishioners of the parish.
I took the shot of George after he had celebrated morning mass.

1979 Porsche 930 Turbo

Ernst Fuhrmann adapted the turbo-technology originally developed for the 917/30 CAN-AM car to the 3.0 litre flat-six from the Carrera RS 3.0, and created what Porsche internally dubbed as 930. For the 1976 production year, a new model, called the "Turbo Carrera" was available (type 930, but officially titled "Turbo Carrera"). The car was a 911, but a very special one. It was turbocharged. This new model had the 3.0 liter engine, modified suspension, fender flares, and the most well-known trademark of all, the whaletail. It developed 234 hp and 246 lb-ft torque. It could go from 0-60 in 6.7 seconds, and cruise to 156 mph. The car was fast, powerful, and extremely tail-happy.
However, the 1976/77 Turbo Carrera was simply an intro to the "big" 930, of the 1978 model. In 2 years of further development, the car was upgraded into a 3.3 liter, intercooled, turbocharged monster that could go from 0-60 in 4.9 seconds, and allow the speedo needle to soar past the 165 mark. The 930 was now just titled "Turbo" on the rear deck lid. Sadly, 1979 was the last year for the 930 in America. The 930 was discontinued in the US due mainly to emissions requirements.
With only 59,000 original miles, this Turbo remains in fantastic survivor condition. The entire interior is very much original, including the factory radio and working sunroof! The car has had a quality re-spray over the years, and shines quite well. All exterior rubber and plastic is solid and free of dry rot, including the tires. Mechanically the car is very strong, the engine pulls as it should, and the turbo spools up very nicely. A truly preserved example!

Created by the Mexican Zapatista Republic for infantry support. It shocked the world due to the complex design produced in such an industrially under-developed country.

Arriva Kent & Surrey are coming off route 32 (Guildford - Redhill) on Saturday 30th May 2015. They have run it since the demise of Tillingbourne in 2001. Compass Bus will take over the service from Monday 1st June 2015. The Sunday service, run by Buses Excetera, is unaffected.
At Earlswood, between 0945 and 1445 (1509 on Saturdays), buses run around three sides of a 'square', via Emlyn Road and Brambletye Park Road.
At all other times, they run directly across the top of the 'square', via St John's Road.
With the last journey of the day from Guildford to Redhill, DAF 3517 (LF52 UTA) is seen taking the short route via St John's Road. As can be seen, just because it's more direct, doesn't mean there's any fewer parked cars/general street clutter!

Tuesday, 1st February 2011.
This is me, with my feet up on the table in the evening, relaxing after a full day of lectures. In the morning I had one two-hour long lecture and then in the afternoon, I had another two-hour lecture! The subjects we covered in the lessons we quite depressing, talking about how little architects know about making money and how the modernist movement in architecture was a terrible tragedy. Regardless, it was all interesting but I was glad to get back in the evening and I even got chicken Chow Mein from the chinese takeaway to celebrate the end of the week (in terms of lectures at least... yes, I do have a lot of lessons!)
Me at 32 weeks. I'd be good with just a few more weeks and then I think I'm ready. :) Baby shower is this weekend!
Not sure why the quality turned out so crappy on this.

Hi. I'm 31 today (despite the title of this photograph). And no, my birthday wish to become an astonishingly gifted and well-equipped wildlife photographer didn't suddenly come true -- but I did receive a copy of this amazing book as a gift from my lovely sister and brother-in-law, and in the box Megan sent me today there was a little "31" (from a Bingo game? I have no idea). So here is today's photo, courtesy of Andrew Zuckerman, Rachel, Matt, Megan, and one very wise looking Great Horned Owl. He's eyeing 31 with the suspicion I know we all feel.
