My parents came round for a lovely meal on Wednesday night, and brought 2 bottles of wine with them. They weren't chilled, so I put one in the freezer to cool down and immediately forgot about it. Discovered last night like this - oops!
Another late start today - William went to sleep last night at 5pm after the previous late night, and woke at 10am today! We pottered for a little bit, tok delivery of food, then decided we needed to get out. The weather was against us, so we headed to Nandos for lunch. Not life-changing, but good enough.
Do I need to upload photos by the shooting sequence or just ignore it.... anyway this 2nd shot look nice is because the oldman cycling the 3 wheels bicycle....
Thats bullshit! This was definitely first place quiltery. But worry not, another of my mom's quilt's won 1st place. I think she also got a couple of honorable mentions. Go mom!

On this day in history in 867 - the Vikings seize York. The city of York had become an important centre under the Roman occupation. Two emperors died there, Septimius Severus (4th February) and Constantinus I Chlorus.
Northumbria at this time was weakened by civil war between rival kings Aella and Osbert. The Vikings in 866 were easily able to walk into York, securing their occupation by utilising the still strong Roman walls as the basis of a Viking fort.
The following year their hand was strengthened further when the erstwhile enemies Aella and Osbert united to try to drive them out of York, but both perished in storming the fortress on March 21 867. Aella may in fact have died shortly after the battle, horrifically tortured by his captors and with an eagle ritually carved into his back. The Vikings were to hold the city of Jorvik until 954.
York (Eboracum) was the first major city to fall to the Vikings in their conquest of England.
The central Shibuya street that connects 109 and the Tokyu department store will come alive with art and music on the first Sunday of June, with the program including a gospel performance by a 100-strong choir and a modernised version of traditional dengaku dance and music.
Our local farm show was this week so I entered some of my knitting into the "Fancy Work" section. That name always cracks me up. Abi's Little Sister Dress won 2nd place in the Children's clothing exhibition.
The west entrance of the 2nd Street Tunnel in downtown Los Angeles. Traffic was fairly sparse at the late hour of this photograph, but this is in fact a long exposure of the tunnel. A modest light trail can be seen running down the length of one of the lanes.

I did a quick photo shoot today of my little man for his 2nd Birthday (Sunday). Unfortunately, it seemed that I picked the wrong day for this...he was miserable. It's just oh-so-hard being two, ya know! :) I did it in two parts so I have a ton of photos to edit...I'll post more later.
Last night was a better night for Noah. He still had a croupy cough, and he was very hot at one point, so we gave him more Calpol and he settled pretty well. A much better night.
He has largely been better today, but then this evening William deteriorated quickly. He was seemingly fine one minute, then started getting tired, grumpy and coughing. He refused his dinner, got into the bath only to get quite distressed (he LOVES the bath ordinarily) and got very cold very quickly. I took him out, wrapped him up, and he was pale, slightly floppy and eyes rolling back with tiredness.
He is now medicated, asleep and relatively settled. I fear tonight is going to be a long one (
