One of my friends in Texas sent a photo of the ice on her trees. She lost loads of trees in her back yard and around the pool as they snapped under the weight of the ice. So pretty, but so destructive
As i'm nocturnal and only come out at night, so my snow shot's in and around my hometown Chelmsford UK of the aftermath of the blizzard of '09 are er.. at night..
This is Widford Road. From 1922 to 1932 this was the A12 London to Chelmsford/Ipswich main road.

East Harlem, aka Spanish Harlem, is a vibrant community that, unfortunately, has been no stranger to urban ills. It was one of the first Italian neighborhoods in the city, and a century ago, one of the birthplaces of the American Mafia. Over the course of the 20th century, the Puerto Rican community gradually became the majority.
The neighborhood was hit very hard by NY's decades long post-WW2 decline, and the advent of container shipping, which rendered Manhattan's piers obsolete and eliminated thousands of jobs which once were a key factor in the prosperity of immigrants.
On the positive side, the development of Salsa in Spanish Harlem has left an indelible mark on music, and the Italian holdouts, Rao's Restaurant (1896), and Patsy's Pizzeria (1933) are still foodie destinations
Like most Hispanic neighborhoods in the city, once the weather gets warm, the streets become alive with music and vendors and hanging out.
And there's that famous song inspired by it...
Acting as a support/second shooter for a shooting session, I got to take a few shots of my own at the end. That was a really nice evening! One of the last shots with my Powershot S5 IS.
My hat to the model who got to hold still for this 3.2 seconds exposure!
