This still shot is documentation of projection installation, Expanding Circles, at the Global CItizen Concert 2013. Thank you to Michael Trainer and Hugh Evans at Global Poverty Project for their unbelievable vision to end extreme poverty and for giving me a visual voice at the festival to help their effort. Thanks to Steve Cohen, Pablo Molina and the video crew for their tireless efforts. A huge shout out to Sigur Ros and their managers at We Are Big Dipper, and Beggars XL for allowing me to use Hafsól from Hvarf/Heim during the installation (not audible on this clip). Visual Concept: Rippling influence from a single voice (circle) expands outward until the audience is networked through overlapping, engaged circles which then reach out into a global call to action to help end extreme poverty.
Shot by the extraordinary video operator from a scissor lift where the projectors were located, this video shows a segment of Expanding Circles projected onto 2500 people in the 60,000 person audience. Projection mapping by Pablo Molina. (12) 25K Chrystie projectors with 2-2.8 lenses from atop 4 scissor lifts. D3 mapping software to cover a 300' x 125' area of NYC's Central Park Great Lawn.

Not positive but I would bet that Troy was in pain from a bad tooth. He was not very talkative but did manage to smile alot as we chatted.
Day #2 in Venice, Cannareggio
"O termo gueto vem do Gueto de Veneza do século XIV. Antes da designação desta parte da cidade para os judeus, era uma fundição de ferro (gueto), e daí o nome. Outras etimologias sugeridas para a palavra incluem a palavra grega Ghetonia (Γειτονία, vizinhança), a italiana borghetto para "pequena vizinhança" ou a palavra hebraica get, literalmente "nota de divórcio." A partir do exemplo do gueto de Veneza, o nome foi usado para vizinhanças judaicas. Em Castela, eram chamadas de Judería e em Maiorca, call. Em Portugal eram chamadas de "Judiaria". Curiosamente, o quarteirão judaico de Veneza era uma zona rica da cidade, habitada por mercadores e emprestadores de dinheiro.
Em 1555, o Papa Paulo IV criou o Gueto Romano e emitiu um cânone (lei papal) para forçar os Judeus a viver numa área especificada. Este foi também o último gueto a ser abolido na Europa Ocidental, em 1883. O Papa Pio V recomendou que todos os estados fronteiriços introduzissem guetos e no início do século XVII todas as principais cidades tinham um (com as excepções em Itália de Livorno e Pisa). Na Europa central, guetos existiam em Praga, Frankfurt am Main, Mogúncia e noutros lugares.
O caráter dos guetos variou ao longo do tempo. Em alguns casos, o gueto era um quarteirão com uma população relativamente rica, por exemplo o gueto judeu em Veneza. Em outros casos, os guetos eram pobres.
Os judeus não podiam adquirir terra fora dos guetos portanto, durante períodos de crescimento populacional, os guetos ficavam estreitos, altos e as casas superpopuladas. Residentes tinham o seu sistema de justiça. À volta do gueto havia por vezes muros e durante pogroms eram fechados desde o interior ou desde o exterior durante o Natal e Páscoa. Frequentemente, os residentes do gueto tinham de ter um passe para se poderem dirigir a sítios fora do gueto."

Tanjore Bragadeeshwara temple. This temple is famous for its architecture. It is said that the platform is built in such a way that the shadow of the gopura falls within the platform throughout the year
This was my first time shooting with this flash/camera combo so I really didn't know what to expect. Looks like I need to turn that aperture ring a couple clicks to the right next time. Had to get a little creative in photochop to get anything back in the highlights. You can see some unusual stuff going on in the oof areas.
